Crysis 2 (Greatest Hits) - PlayStation 3

Crytek did a pretty good job with the game visually and gameplay wise. They tried to push as much as they can given on a console. I'm both a console and PC gamer, with that being said I really think that the CryEngine 3 wasn't really that much of an improvement over the CryEngine 2. Matter of fact I think in the physics department they went a step backward. In Crysis 1 and Crysis warhead When you shoot the trunk of the trees it actally does damage and it falls, or when you shoot a rocket between the tree branch you can see the leaves move from the shock wave. In Crysis 2 you see non of that. None the less it's still a good game. I recommend to play on PC if your system can handle it, I got a copy for the PS3 as well just to play with my buddies since they don't meet the PC requirement.

I usually don't buy games when they first come out just because very few are really worth 60 bucks and most end up being let downs and in Crysis 2 this is just the case. Yes it looks good, but it really is not. Far from the best looking game on the PS3. I didn't find this game fun at all or interesting for that matter, no replay value in the single play mode. The aliens don't look real, the combat is poor, the human villains are dumb, the weapons are not very good and you don't have a lot to pick from. I will say some of the levels do look nice and the game does well in showing off areas of NY but still this brings little to the table as far as making this a great game. Save your money and just rent it if you want to give it a try.
