A must buy if you have a glass mat battery.
a must buy for reviving your glass mat car battery. I was using the regular battery charging system on mine and almost ruined it. Did some research and found that I was destroying the battery and bought the CTEK, what a difference.

The one that works
This is my second CTEX charger. My old one was stolen last month. I bought another brand which is cheaper but was not able to overcome the old battery...so I returned it. And so back to CTEX.

Pricey, but good
The MXS 5.0 has new features compared to my other CTEK charger and went through its automated processes fine on a couple different batteries. It's expensive, but much clearer about exactly what it is doing and where it is in the charging process than most others.

Power cord too thick.
Do not buy. Power cord is too thick to shut trunk. My battery is in trunk. Trunk lid squished cord and shorted out cord. Charger will not work. Other brands have a thinner, flat cord that you can shut hood or trunk with.
