Cuisinart 14 Cup Food Processor, FP-1400

After twenty years of faithful service, the motor in my Cuisnart food processor died. I did not hesitate to replace with the updated version of my older model, the 14 cup food processor. I love the new model as it is simple to use and easy to clean.

My new 14 cup food processor has sharp blades that work great, is quiet, well made and rocking my house. It replaced my old 11 cup from about 20 years ago. My hope is that this one lasts as long as my last one. Thank You!

This is the second Cuisinart I've owned since 1980. They are well built and will last forever especially if you take care of them. This one is a step up from my original one although it still works and my son has it now. I like how easy it is to use and really like the storage part. This model is a bit pricey but I don't mind paying for quality. It's a little different than my original model, I feel the upgrades were well thought out. It looks great on my counter, very sleek. I would definitely recommend this model.

Plenty of room and power to make 2 pie crusts in one batch! Adjustable slicer is great for pickled daikon. Don't put it in the dishwasher though. Cascade, even the gel version, contains abrasives that will sandblast that nice clear bowl into a cloudy mess. Green 3M scotchbrite sponges will scratch it too, use the blue ones. Be sure to hold the handle when removing the blade per the manual.

As soon as you pick up the box you know this is a solid, well built machine. Casing and plastic thick, motor very powerful and controls easy to read and manipulate.

I like how it's versatile. It can chop and mix food nicely and quickly. I also like how you can store all the accessory discs and blades inside the bowl which saves space. This is a great kitchen gadget. I highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great food processor! It has all of the tools you need for just about anything. It has a blade that's serrated on one side, a grating blade and a shredding blade. It;s very quick and does a very even job. It's easy to clean and I like that it has a storage basket to store everything inside the bowl. The only thing I would chsange is to move the feeder to the front of the machine, Other than that, it's perfect.

So far, it's been doing its job but i need more practice on grating mozzarella cheese. Giving 4 stars because with the large feed tube, I wish i didn't have to close the lid (the small one with metal handle), it needs to touch the other part in order to start processing. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a large tube and still have to cut veggies, cheese, etc. so it fits lenghtwise.

The sleek, shiny stainless steel look made me comfortable leaving it out on my counter.. it comes with blades for shredding and slicing. This food processor is powerful and does an excellent job preparing all kinds of foods easily such as apples, carrots, cheeses, and nuts. The only design flaw would be that the pieces have to align up perfectly in order to operate as a safety precaution. This can be frustrating because it ican be difficult to get the pieces aligned and twisted just right. Also, cleaning all the different pieces can be a little tedious, but I do believe it is worth it for the power and ease of food preparation. I used to have a ninja processor and I admit that it was super easy to click into place but it was very loud. The pulse function on the Cuininaet food processor was easy to use. Overall, I recommend this powerful, beautiful product.
