Cuisinart 2 Quart Deep Fryer, Stainless Steel

This little fryer is excellent. It is easy to use and easy to set up. We have used it 2 times to fry frozen pre-battered shrimp and some catfish that I battered and fried. The temperature seemed to be spot on. I checked with my laser thermometer and followed the directions on the fryer and the shrimp distributor bag. The first time with the shrimp was a test, then we made shrimp po-boys. We also made po-boys with the catfish. Both po-boys were from my wife's home-made buns. They were delicious! Clean up was easy on the fryer also. I like the way the basket rests on the side of the fryer to drain the oil from the shrimp and catfish. The little notch at the corner of the fryer bin that holds the oil makes pouring the oil off to be strained very easy. If this one ever breaks, we will definitely buy it again. Perfect for 2 people.

This is a great appliance that saves my other cookware and makes deep frying a lot safer and less messy for my kitchen. I added the fryer to a space opposite my sink counter to keep it in a dry space for while it's hot and cooling down. I've used it a few time and learned deep frying with it. I had trouble with battered veggies, so I learned to first lower the basket and then lower individual pieces using tongs. Battered food shouldn't be lowered inside the basket because they stick instantly when lowered into the fryer. The basket is good for lifting the food before it burns. After 3-4 uses I got a good idea on how to balance reused with fresh vegetable oil each time I use the fryer. For small portions this fryer is great!

Fryer is great heats fast, easy to clean, food gets done , good for 2 people but the only thing I feel they could change is the marking of the pan hard to read where the line is to fill oil it is on the outside of the pan not the inside.

I have used it a few times and it works great and doesn't take up a lot of room on the counter, I have the 4 quart one by cuisinart, it worked good but took up a lot of space. The 2 quart one seems to reach the desired temperature faster.

Very easy to use and clean. Having a fryer with temperature control is so much better than trying to dial in the right settings on an electric stovetop. Highly recommended for those who fry for 1-2 people at a time.

I used this to fry Lumpia and was pleased that I could cook 12 per basket. Heating was fast as well.

It's a lot smaller than I expected but it's cute and does the job for one person!
