Cuisinart 5-Cup Chop & Shred Food Processor, Compact Design, Reversible Shredding Disc

Small and mighty and perfect for making sauces. I had a larger one forever and never used all the attachments. When we moved I decided to give away my old one and got this one to replace it. Love the smaller size and ease of use. I was hesitant to go smaller but the 5 cups is a good enough size for just the 2 of us at home.

The best little food processor ever!! I made soup the other night, chopped all the vegetables that I needed and then grated the cheese and then made a bread topping for the bowls!! All with one machine that worked perfectly!!

I wanted a 5-cup and this model also came with a shredding disc as a replacement of my 4-cup Cuisinart food processor (20 years old) & starting to show some wear. It is the perfect size and the shredding disc has already come in handy. Great food processor!

I purchased this to replace a very old (and breaking) Kenmore Short Cut food processor that had a shred and slice blade and a chopping blade. I found I never used the slicer blade, and this Cuisinart product is perfect. Only one bowl (the old one had two), so it takes up less space in my cupboard, and everything stores in the bowl, so no blades sitting around. I hope it last as long as my Short Cut did!

such a nice upgrade to its predecessor, mini chop, which died a while back. As soon as I got this i put it through its paces. It performed very admirably. I actually like it better than dragging out the 11 cup Elite for tasks like shredding cheese. It obviously doesn't have the same power but did quite well for making a single pie crust (bottom crust only). it took a little longer but the end result was VERY nice. the work bowl is a nice size upgrade too. There is enough room to make a nice sized portion of genovese pesto or pizza crust for a single pizza. i havent tried making pizza dough yet, frankly i typically make enough for 2-4 pizzas at a time, but the pesto came out perfectly. its also easy to clean and top-rack dw safe some reviewers commented that the grinding function didnt produce a fine grind size. this i have also observed. the pesto did have larger sized peices of nuts and garlic, about 2 mm in diameter or just a little smaller than 1/8 inch. this does not bother me as i am not buying this to make nut butters or hummous. if you liked the 3 cup mini chopper/grinder youre goona love this.

Works well and is easy to clean.I like that the parts are dishwasher safe. I very much recommend reviewing the instructions completely. My first attempt to use it didn't go well because I hadn't.

I am so excited about my 5-Cup Chop & Shred Food Processor! I had a very large Cuisinart for over 30 years. It was fantastic! However, since my husband and I are empty nesters, i decided to replace the large one with this 5 Cup. Great choice. It shops, purees and shreds-who could ask for anything more? It doesn't take up much space on the counter top, so it is handy for everyday use. If you are thinking about a useful, time saving tool, this Cuisinart is the one!

This little gem will serve the needs of almost any home kitchen job. Purees and chops everything with ease. Does the job efficiently.

Really good value for money, it is the first time I have used a food processor and after just a week, I've found a use for it at least 4 times - everything from mincing garlic (it did that surprisingly well) to a steak marinade (it did that well too) and shredding carrots for my home made coleslaw - so much easier than my usual method. I then realised it doesn't have a slicer which was a bit disappointing but as a novice, I hadn't realised that some do. I bought it to make my own nut butter and if I am honest, it's not as good as I had hoped - this may be my fault as I am nervous of overheating the motor. The cashew nut butter is fine just remains a little grittier than I expected despite 15-20 minutes at full speed (actually - it only has two speeds - PULSE and ON. If value is your goal, then this is the one for you, its also a cost effective way to see if I will continue to use a good processor for a year or so rather than investing in a heavy duty, expensive alternative that could sit in a cupboard unused. If only it juiced lemons too!
