I really like this one. It's just the right size. It heats up really fast and it's got a good solid lid.
I love this dutch oven! First of all, it looks great. The contoured shape is so cool. It's the perfect size for a big pot of soup without being overwhelming and too heavy when full. I am slowly replacing old cookware with cuisinart and this is a welcome addition. I am so happy with this purchase!
Light weight, easy to clean. Excellent product. Dint think twice this is one of the best dutch ovens I've ever owned.
This is a great pot! It's the perfect size. This is bigger than a saucepan but not as large as the stock pot, which is perfect when you need that in between size!
I asked for and received the Cuisinart 5 qt dutch oven for Christmas. It is every bit as easy to clean as the old nonstick stock pot it replaced, without the danger of the coating peeling off.
premium cookware that features professional construction – an aluminum disc in the base is bonded to a stainless interior and a stainless exterior – a fusion of the best materials for cooking, offering unsurpassed performance. The aluminum encapsulated base maintains even heat distribution, eliminating hot spots. Premium stainless steel cooking
Best cookware for the buck! This Dutch Oven completes my collection! I have Cuisinart's fry pan, large sauce pan, small sauce pan, and big 8 qt stock pot. I can cook whatever I want now, and the cleanup is a breeze because it's stainless steel. No more non-stick for me! Since this purchase, I have made slow-cooker pot roast in my oven like my Auntie used to make -- three times now. Sheer perfection!
Cuisinart is my go to brand for any kitchen equipment. The most recent 5 qt dutch oven pot is as expected. After first use cooking potatoes the bottom of the inside pot had pit marks. If the marks did not appear after first use, the product would get 5 stars.
I definitely love this pot, it is a wonderful intermediate size. I love the volume markings inside and it is just beautiful. My only complaint is that other people have noticed this too, it has marks inside the bottom. After just a couple uses. And using wooden utensils. It does not impact the functioning of the pot that I can tell. It developed places where it got sort of foggy and then you can see little marks were scraped with a wooden spoon. Would recommend anyone to purchase it, though. It heats evenly and quickly, and the lid fits as I would like.
Perfect size pan for cooking up a big batch of potatoes. I am disappointed though because after only a couple of months there are black spots on the bottom inside the pot. I can't scrub them out with Barkeeper's Friend which usually works miracles. The other day I noticed there were dents on the bottom side. I didn't drop it or hit it with anything, so I am very surprised that the metal is so thin that it can dent. I have reached out to customer service and they are kindly going to replace the pan so I am hoping this was just a pan from a bad batch.
