The food processor that you need for everything!!!

chlong00 February 2, 2026

I bought a Pro Classic 7 cup food processor for the basic features it has which can be a multipurpose too. It's good for making some peanut butter, crushing some graham crackers, making pie dough and shredding some cheese. All it needs is some care and right way of cleaning and it will definitely last. Just be careful with the blades cos it's very sharp

Still love it the second time around!

Sarah from Tx September 5, 2025

Wow, this machine really does it all. This is my second one, the first was 20 years old. I really needed just the replacement bowls, but I found a better price by buying a new one. I did stop using my first one a while ago, because of the cracked bowls. Got this one and I use it at least twice a week. It's great for slicing veggies, grating cheese, making salsa, and making dough for baked goods. The blade for dough came with my first one but I recommend purchasing one if yours did not come with it.

Perfect Food Processor

Patrick1NY August 25, 2025

I've been wanting to get a great food processor for some time. I received the Classic 7 Cup Food Processor and immediately unpacked it and read the instructions. I then assembled it so that I could try a new pesto recipe and everything worked like magic! It was fast, efficient and I was able to make an amazing batch of delicious pesto. I the rinsed all the used parts and loaded it into my dishwasher to make sure everything was nice and clean. It came out perfect, like new! I can't wait to try more recipes with it!

You can't go wrong with a Cuisinart processor.

Chicagokathy April 14, 2026

I purchased the Pro Classic 7 Cup Food Processor to replace an old one that still worked after 25+ years. I gave my old one to someone and got the new processor. It works beautifully and I have used it multiple times in the short time I have had it. Best product on the market

Good machine

Hammer January 29, 2026

Blades appear to be less well constructed than the ones with my previous Cuisinart. I guess I won't know how they will last until they've been used for a while. Previous machine is over 20 years old, just now getting tired, so I thought replacing it with similar make/model would be a good decision. I'm guessing this one won't last 20 years.

The standard is still as high as it initially was

Kenar June 28, 2026

I got my first Cuisinart when I was in college in the mid 70s. It finally broke down and it was time to replace it (just broke my heart at first, but I got over it. Quickly). I ordered this new 7 cup food processor and was delighted by it. It has, as the machine always has, made my work in the kitchen much easier much more confined in terms of prep clutter, and much faster. The only thing that I didn't care for here was that it did not come with the plastic blade and the one that I ordered doesn't go all the way around the bowl in the way the metal blade does. It's much smaller than the bowl and I got it for mashing avocado for guacamole for kneading bread and dough, etc. and it's not really functional for those tasks and it doesn't come with the initial order so it has to be purchased separately; it's a tool that I miss and is not worth purchasing. Otherwise, though, it's been a really swell add to the kitchen I forgot how much you could do with it and with the guacamole I just use the metal blade and pick the order of ingredients from most finely chopped to least; I process appropriately so I begin with the garlic which I get really fine. Then the onion and jalapeño, which I get chunky then I add half a chopped tomato fresh squeezed lime and and lastly, the avocado. I fold some cube tomato in with a spatula and dress it by hand in cilantro. This takes about ten minutes total. I make a fresh rosemary under skin rub for my Sunday roast chicken, which goes with finely minced garlic and grated lemon rind and fresh rosemary, and basic seasonings, and it does really well in my chicken so I have no complaints except with the aforementioned mixing blade. I look forward to chopping for the next 40 years - I hope - much like I did with the last one.

Pro Classic 7 Cup Food Processor - Built To Last

Frito Kid December 4, 2025

For many years I worked in the food industry. The Cuisinart Classic was the workhorse in preparing samples for testing. I bought this one for home use because I know it will be trouble-free for MANY years. The bowl is easy to clean. The slicing and shredding blades are very strong. The bowl cover with the chute that is used with the blades can be confusing but is designed that way for safety.

Works well for hummus and the like

Hob Y Cook July 29, 2025

I like to use the work bowl with the chopping blade and flat cover to make hummus or dips. Making pizza dough with the same tools works well too, but you have to remove the dough before it rises, or it will spill out of the bottom cylinder of the bowl. I had ordered (separately) the fine grating disc to grate carrots or celery root for salad. When fed through the narrow feed tube, the grating works moderately well (because the disc grates mainly near the periphery, not where the tube ends). The contraption to avoid hand injuries via the large feed tube seems overly complicated and almost needs to be cleaned in the dishwasher; handwashing is somewhat unsatisfactory. What I miss: the knife blade should have a lid to facilitate cleaning, the spatula should have a flat edge that can readily be used to get pureed food out of the flat bottom of the bowl, and the Instruction Booklet should be written in a more user-friendly fashion.

Replacing an ancient DLC7

RAJN September 8, 2025

I purchased this reasonably priced model of Cuisinart to replace an ancient DLC7 that finally went to food processor heaven after several decades. This model is slightly smaller and seems much less robust than the DLC7. The plastic parts are thinner and I assume I will not get decades of service from it, but it does the job about as well as what it is replacing.

Not pleased with new processor

CJL (my initials) January 3, 2025

Our last Cuisinart food processor lasted 22 years. It was replaced because one of the two locks on the processor “bowl” broke and the other one was cracked. However, this new replacement processor is a poor substitute. 1. The feeding tube lid is far too complex and hard to clean. The older model was much simpler and easier to use and clean. 2. The requirement to switch the blade attachment is absurd and requires more handling of the blades than the older model at the risk of injury. 3. The short feed tube bowl lid (presumably for mixing) is an unnecessary piece of equipment that just takes up space. The older model did not need such a component. 4. The instructions for use of the processor are far from adequate. We are seriously considering returning the processor for a more useful one. This is unfortunate as our kitchen is equipped with a number of Ciusinart appliances (a toaster, a convection toaster oven, a coffeemaker, a griddler and a mini food processor. This new processor is the first Cuisinart appliance that has not met our expectations.
