Cuisinart Automatic Grind & Brew 12 Cup Coffee Maker

I am really pleased with our new coffee brewer. Cuisinart has always served us well over the years with their quality. This time was no exception. I would highly recommend this brewer or anything else with their brand. The coffee is wonderful at 6:15 in the morning.

I really enjoy the coffee maker. My only negative comment is that the grinder is very loud

Good coffee maker but a bit different from previous model. You have to fill the beans before each pot as opposed to just filling the bean container and having the coffee maker grind the correct amount of beans. There s also more cleaning involved between uses.

I love everything about this coffee maker except the carafe. I’ve had four of these over the course of decades, both the 12-cup with glass carafe and the 10-cup with the insulated carafe and ALL of the carafes pour poorly. Otherwise, however, it makes a great cup of coffee, is easy to program (if you so choose), and is easy to clean.

I prefer a thermal carafe. Fortunately the carafe from my old Grind and Brew fit and works well with the new product. Having to clean each piece after each use is tedious but doable. The blade grinder uses a lot more coffee beans than did the burr grinder. At the price of coffee these days, we now drink less coffee.

The grinder is VERY LOUD and startles me every time. I have yet to find the correct bean-to-water ratio for the perfect cup of coffee. You can really only fill the bean chamber for 8 cups of coffee. I have tried to make 12 cups, but because the recommendation is to use 2 tbs of beans per cup, the beans just fall out.

I was very disappointed in the glass carafe. I do not like that you have to take the lid totally off (a hinge would be great). Also, the lip on the inside top of the carafe makes it hard to pour and clean. It is hard to get all the liquid out because it stays on that lip. I had the grind and brew with the thermal carafe and loved it. This one doesn't compare.

I was gifted this coffee maker about a month ago. We were so excited to have the grinder in the machine… however, the grinder is sooo loud it wakes up the whole house. Coffee is fine, lots of pieces to watch between uses but I can not move past the sound of a helicopter in my kitchen so early in the morning.

I'm so disappointed with this model that I was told was the replacement for my previous grind and brew with hopper. It is so inconvenient and the grinder fills with moisture while brewing the coffee, making cleanup a mess! My previous model was wonderful! No issues at all until it died of old age. This is a terrible replacement. Save yourself the aggravation and get a regular coffee maker and separate grinder. Please bring back the old hopper model!! I gave it 2 stars because Cuisinart still brews a delicious cup of coffee.

This is quite possibly the worst coffee maker that I have ever owned. It is cumbersome , noisy, hard to clean and takes forever to clean and prep. The last Cuisinart coffee maker we bought was the grind & brew burr grinder with a hopper. It was great but they stopped making it I assumed that all of their coffeemakers were as good as that one. I would love to return this one .
