This coffee pot is replacing our kitchen countertop coffee maker that made a full pot of coffee. It is also replacing our Kreig coffee maker that made one cup of coffee at a time. This Cuisinart coffee maker makes a pot of coffee or a Kreig type single cup of coffee. It is very easy to program and to use.
This coffee pot is just right for us. My husband likes a flavored coffee and just in the morning, but I drink decaf all day long. He can brew his cup on the single serving side and I have my pot. We looked at another popular brand but the design was bulky and I preferr the style of the Cuisinart. It will be on the counter all the time and it is an attractive design.
Satifies the need for full carafe or a sibgle cup of tea coffee or hot water. Filters are a next lelvel benefit. Only improvement I can see is how you pour the water in for the carafe. Lid needs to open up more as it is in the way and change sides with the filter compartment for easier pour access. Surprised Cuisinart has not recognized these improvement optionss.
My first coffee maker was a gift, the only thing I had on our registry, when we got married. I enjoyed it enough that over the years, I have now purchased my 3rd one. They are long lasting, dependable, and well made. We love the flexibility of the pods when we have visitors and want to offer other options like hot chocolate or some teas. This is a quality product, well built and will serve you for many years!
Love that this is 2 machines in 1 but not thrilled over the coffee pod side. Coffee splashes when dripping into our cups. I have an extra tall mug (about 6 inches tall) that I use to make the pod coffee in and then pour it into my regular size coffee mug. Having the extra tall mug to have to wash after each use is annoying but so is wiping my counters and the machine when the coffee splashes.
The 2 in 1 brewing system is great for us. We entertain a lot and to have both options is very handy. One thing though. The single kcup side is very messy. As the coffee is going into the cup we have drops of coffee that splash out of the cup creating a mess on surfaces surrounding the coffee maker. It might be the funnel opening that is not round(jagged edges and the drip hole may not be centered. I need to move cup towards the edge of the maker so coffee drips into the center of the cup. Any suggestions?
I bought it and writhing 2 months the k-cup part stopped working, now only the carafe. Disappointed that is now not usable as the k-cup part is what I am using the most.
I bought this coffee maker to replace my Keurig and was satisfied for the first day. I filled up the water tank that friday at 8pm and when I woke up at 6am on Saturday 1/4 was empty. The counter and floor were also full of water. I noticed it was leaking where the tank snaps into the machine. I thought maybe I just didnt snap it all the way so I refilled it and it worked fine the Sunday morning. On monday I wake up and notice that almost half the tank is empty and the counter and floor are all wet. Plus from the water sitting on my tile so long it is permanently discolored. I decided I no longer wanted to deal with it so I returned it and bought a Keurig.
I purchased this Coffee Center as a gift for my husband. I was very disappointed when the unit leaked water onto the counter with each use. In addition, the single serve side splattered scalding coffee on my counter with each use. See photo. I just received a replacement coffee maker which has tne same problem with splattering coffee on each use. I do not recommend this item to anyone. It is an expensive, poorly designed item.
Bought online, arrived dead. Reached out to Cuisinart, was advised "it's dead, just return it" without offering any advice or possible troubleshooting. Emailed the company about the issue and keep receiving surveys instead. Don't bother with this machine.
