I'm very pleased with my new Cuisanart espresso maker. It replaces a unit from another maker that was difficult to use and messy. The Cuisanart is aesthetically pleasing to the eye in my opinion. It is functionally simple to use and it is very easy to see if machine is on or off (unlike replaced unit.) But above all, it makes an EXCELLENT espresso Americano and Latte (my two faves.) you can't go wrong - do yourself a favor and buy one - send the old machine to Goodwill.
After trying a few other brands in around the same price rage we ended up with a Cuisinart. I have friends that have other items in this brand and love them but this is my first perchase of the brand. I am in love with this machine and so is my husband. The other brands We tried prior to purchasing a Cuisineart were very frustrating. There was more maintenance steps that you needed to follow to maintain the machines functionality. This machine runs like a charm and compared to others in the same price range out shines them all.
Basic machine that pulls awesome espresso. You would definitely like the foamy espresso it brews. The frother is great. It's a nice little all stainless steel body! The only downside I would like to point out is the espresso is not very hot. Another thing I would like to add is it's very loud at least to my taste.
Easy to use and makes a quick cup of espresso. Similar to other machines but at a reasonable price and value.
This is a wonderful, compact, and flexible espresso maker. I had the Cuisinart Auto Espresso maker, but actually like this better as you can control steam, water, and the amount of espresso you prepare manually. Very easy to use, and even easier to clean. I really like this espresso machine.
I was given this as a gift for mother's day about a year ago. I wanted to be able to make Green tea lattes so I was looking for a good milk steamer. Overall I've been happy with this product. There's a learning curve to a perfectly steamed cup of milk but I eventually figured it out. It would be easier to use if it had more space to move the cup under the steamer wand. I move the whole unit to the edge of the counter so I can move the cup more freely. I only use the steamer so I can't commemt on the cappuccino maker. It's a pretty good steamer for the money.
I had to return it today. I have purchased 2 of these machines, and both started “Clogging” around the cup seal. I had one from early 2007-08 and it lasted over 10 yrs! It still works, I just need to replace the “milk frothe” stem as it broke off. I LOVE CUISINART, but something changed with this awesome Espresso machine. It really IS a 5 star machine, but my experience has been a 4 star one.
My espresso doesn't brew hot enough, so I need to nuke it in the microwave before drinking. Also, I'd like the brewing to stop automatically so I don't have to monitor the output. If I don't stop it in time, I get watered down espresso.
Water leaks down through to the tray while brewing and sits in the metal container holding the coffee (I have cleaned and used wire to be sure opening is patent). Machine is loud. The steamer only works if you turn dial to water function first
I have had this machine for a few years. It has never worked properly. I'm so mad I didn't try to return it. It literally will shut itself off after just a few drops of espresso. I have to keep running it over and over again (like 10 runs) just to get a shot of espresso.
