Grill works amazing, was a little larger than expected but should have guessed being a 5 burner. Heats up extremely fast. Only issue I had so far was shipping, fedex dropped my box and dented/chipped some paint on the underneath part of the grill putting a huge hole in the box.
I've used a lot of different grills in my years, 57, and I finally have a grill that actually meets all my grilling needs. I've used the smoker attachment and was very pleases with the results and so were my guests! My grill has NO HOT SPOTS, either. I am very confident that what ever I cook on this grill will always meet my expectations!
Grill/griddle/smoker combo works awesome so far. I've had it for almost two weeks and the food that I have cooked so far has turned out just right. The griddle part I really love, made eggs, bacon, sausage, hash, and pancakes on it . I do wish that the griddle was the same size as the grill part though.
I was dreading putting this together after reading all of the reviews but I had no issues. This grill was beautifully packaged and all the pieces were numbered. There were no dents or dings, everything was perfect. I didn't even read the manual as there is a 12 minute video from Cuisinart on Youtube of a guy putting this together step by step. Following along with him and it's foolproof. It probably took me about an hour and a half to put it together by myself. There was one screw that was screwed in too tight but instead of stripping it, I suggest spraying it with WD-40 and using a large regular head screwdriver to loosen it. People also also seem to have trouble getting their propane tanks connected properly and complain about it not fitting. It certainly fits, you have to twist the propane tank to the open part of the handle so it'll go behind the catch that hangs down. There is also a Youtube video of that available as well. I did a 30 minute burn off once I got it together and all burners worked great the very first try. I cranked it on high and it seems like the highest the temperature got was 600 degrees out of 700. Plenty hot enough. I can't speak on whether or not this grill will stand the test of time but it was fun to put together and I look forward to cooking on it. It's hefty and looks great. Very happy with this purchase.
Like others who have reviewed this grill, I found the prospect of assembling it intimidating. The fact that most of the screws needed are pre-installed made it significantly easier. The instructions are good to a point, but there needs to be an indication of where some parts are packed. The wheels and one bracket are packed inside the grill, rather than outside with the rest of the base portion. Fortunately, the 12 minute video you can find on YouTube is really helpful where the instructions fall short. On the operating side, you can't ask for better. It's a great size and cooks like a dream. No more overcooked meals here.
Bought this grill because we wanted to upgrade to a grill with stainless steel parts so it wouldn't rust in a year. Right out of the box I was extremely disappointed with the poor quality and workmanship. Several of the parts and panels were bent or dented, and I mean huge obvious dents, not little dings or scratches. It looked like it had been thrown down the stairs at a football stadium. If that wasn't bad enough, it has all these screws that need to be loosened or removed to attach the pieces together, and one of the screws that was meant to hold the grill box to the stand was screwed in so tightly, I couldn't get it to budge at all with any tool I tried, including a vice grip, even after spraying it with WD40. So we had to assemble it without it. On a positive note, at least it seems like the burners work fine.
Received item from store whith box taped up. On arrival to home and removal of parts from box, almost every piece was bent in some way that reuqired striaghtening with a hammer. Very disappointed in quality of this item. It was too heavy to return to the store so we kept it. I would expect a partial refund due to the damage
Grill says natural gas/propane compatible. Grill comes ready for propane, not natural gas. Spent the last 2 days trying to switch it over to natural gas because the company is sold out of the converson kit that's not included with the grill. Long story short, do not purchase this grill if you plan on using natural gas.
Worst grill I have owned. Flare ups cause meat and items to constantly burn. Only owned for 4 months and the parts are already rusting and falling apart. Contacted customer support and they claim it is normal wear and tear and not covered. The inside is all rusted and the rivets have fallen apart. Don't buy this grill!
Bought last spring. The "chrome" is chipping and peeling off the knobs and trim and it looks like crap. Took care of it all winter and had it covered. Cuisinart customer service told me the The Fulham Group makes the grills, and the The Fulham Group told me "cosmetic issues are not covered under warrantee".. Not happy, don't buy- it won't last.
