Cuisinart Grills Gridler Elite, Silver

The Griddler Elite is my new favorite appliance! The day after I used it for the first time, I went out and bought two panini recipe books for more inspiration. The bacon I cooked on it was perfect and the cleanup easy with the drip tray catching all the grease. In addition to paninis, I've made every variation of grilled cheese sandwiches on all types of bread, french toast and eggs so far. I sous vide a lot of meat and have finished off burgers and steaks with the sear feature (that's why I bought the Elite model and it didn't disappoint) and it's been so easy and I don't have to wash and then re-season my cast iron pan. Cleanup couldn't be easier; I have put the plates in the dishwasher and also washed by hand — come out perfect every time. I use it so often that it sits out on my counter so it's easily available. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

bought this to replace a different brand that was going out on me. My cuisine art griddler elite is so much better! I can cook bacon, burgers etc. without grease dripping everywhere. The grease drip tray is large enough to catch it.My favorite feature is that I can set each griddle for different temperatures! That's a game changer!! I highly recommend this product. I do store mine on top of my pantry cabinet-but because the complete griddle with the grills are kind of heavy-I store the grates in my lower cabinet and the griddler elite on top. It's not a problem because the griddler elite is able to lock into position so it won't compromise the latch that holds the grates.

This cuisine art grills elite, is great , easy to use , i use it as panini press for my grilled sandwiches and many more use , i can grill chicken pieces … a place for grease , most important for me it has knobs for temperature regulation it does not burn my sandwiches …. Very elegant piece in my kitchen .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I purchased this grill to replace one that i had for some time, I like the fact the heating plates can be changed around to allow the cooking of different items, and that you can set different temps for the top and bottom elements. Distribution of heat elements are well laid out so everting cook's evenly. Clean up is very easy as the plates are dishwasher safe, and easy to remove and install.

CON, s. the Teflon wears out way to fast. The heat is not even. It has hot spots and cold spots when cooking. Not good when making pancakes. Overall, this is a great product. I cook breakfast every morning and make the greatest panini sandwiches. Great for cooking fish, chicken and porkchops, Cook the top and bottom at the same time. gets done scary fast. When done put the griddles in the dish washer.

Great appliance for grilling chicken, steaks, hamburgers, etc. Flip over the trays and you have a flat surface for pancakes, grilled sandwiches, etc. We had the earlier model, but this one is top notch.

It's everything I thought it would be and a little more. Pretty simple to clean and gets to temp relatively quickly. It's much simpler to use than it looks and sear function is nice touch.

The Griddler cooked 2 steaks for me and it did so perfectly and quickly. I might however, not recommend this for indoor use with cooking meat. The amount of smoke was a serious concern for me, as I think it may stain the area above it after prolonged use. I have not used it for breakfast yet, but I imagine things like eggs & pancakes won't offer the same problem. Bacon may, though. This would be perfect for someone with an "open" room, such as a Florida or sun room. That would be the best place for the Griddler, in my opinion. As far as performance, it cooks very well. Skip the greasy stuff for indoor cooking.

The Bottom Line: The Cuisinart Elite Griddler attempts to justify its high price with versatility but fails on fundamental engineering. The appliance is significantly hampered by unsatisfactory grease drainage; fat pools around the food, requiring the user to manually scrape it away mid-cook. This, combined with surprisingly flimsy build quality, makes the Griddler a poor value. ​Recommendation: We recommend against purchasing this unit. For better results and less frustration, purchase two separate, dedicated appliances: a sloped contact grill for efficient fat drainage, and a high-quality flat griddle. ​Important Note: The return process for this appliance, particularly at Walmart, may be problematic, even within the ninety-day return window, adding to the risk of purchase.
