Cuisinart Hand Blenders Smart Stick® Two-Speed Hand Blender

I used the first one for 8 years, 6 days a week churning up a cup of refrigerator oats, chopped walnuts, dried fruit, and frozen berries with all the protein powder and never missed a beat. Eventually, it became difficult to separate and clean. Then it ate itself up at the connection and I pitched it. But had another ready to go. Hope it lasts another 8 years:-)

I didn't have space for a full blender, so this is an excellent alternative, I use it mostly for puree'ing soup ingredients. I had another manufacturers stick blender but it wasn't as powerful and more difficult to clean.

Good for creating drinks from fresh fruit, mixing with yogurt. I only wish it would beat egg whites to a stiff consistency. Still looking for the ideal device to do that easily. But this is a very good little mixer for liquids. Cuisinart means quality. I like all of my Cuisinart devices. Given a choice of a similar item I'd go with Cuisinart, regardless of price difference. It's worth every penny for this quality.

I purchased this primarily with milkshakes and smoothies in mind. For those tasks, it works great. It will get further use with soups and salsas when I will give those things a whirl to thicken them, while still retaining some texture. I'm sure I'll find other uses as tasks arise. It's easy to clean and it is powerful enough to blend ice cream and fruits.

I had another hand blender that lasted for about 25 years, but the motor was making weird noises so my husband bought me this one for Christmas. It works great. I used it for butternut squash soup and it blended everything quickly. It should last for many years.

As we have been downsizing our home and simplifying our life, we had gotten rid of many kitchen gadgets that were taking up too much space and hardly used. I love to cook and this stick blender has made food prep so much easier. I used to have to pull out a huge blender just to smooth sauces or gravies. This stick blender is simple to use. It is powerful and well made. My new favorite!

Bought it several weeks ago and love how it performs on thickening soups, making fruit smoothies with frozen fruit, etc. but it is awkward to depress lock and speed at same time. Needs to be able to turn it on and run it without involving another button to push and hold.

I haven't had my immersion blender very long, but it worked very well when I needed to deal with some fibrous squash. My Smart Stick did a great job getting rid of the "strings" in the squash.

The blender is great. I bought it to replace my Hamilton Beach stick blender. This one seems like it won't break since it's all metal instead of plastic. However, storage is an issue. It comes with a cup (that I don't see myself using) and there's no way to store it. I'll have to find a drawer somewhere. My old one had a storage box that it came in. That would be really nice.

The LOCK mechanism is very poorly designed. I either need to have two thumbs to operate this stick blender or I need to get used to holding the power cord in my mouth because not having two thumbs, the only way to operate this blender is to have the power cord face me and get in the way between me and what I am trying to blend. I have several ideas about how you can redesign the LOCK mechanism on this stick blender if you should be interested in hearing me out.
