Cuisinart Infrared and Folding Grill Thermometer with LCD Display

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used a meat thermometer when cooking meat in the oven or on the stove top. Having this has come in handy when barbequing. As for barbequing, I have never known for sure if the meat I grilled was fully cooked. So, to be on the safe side I ended up overcooking it. Now that I have a Cuisinart Infrared & Folding Grilling Thermometer, overcooking is no longer a problem. I like that this thermometer not only checks the temperature of what I'm grilling, it also detects surface temperatures. This thermometer is easy to use and is quick taking temperatures. I recommend this for anyone who loves to grill.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got our Cuisinart Infrared & Folding Grilling Thermometer recently. Very easy to calibrate and is very accurate. The probe mode works very nicely, and we used it for chicken. Your poultry is so important to get right, and this thermometer gives the accuracy for a worry free birds. The temperature hold function is nice to have before removing the probe for accuracy. The laser mode is great for preheating ovens or pans. Just point the laser end and push a button. No more guessing or using inaccurate dial thermometers. The display numbers even have a backlight. Modern with high quality construction. So easy to use for everyone.

If you are like me you tend to overcook your meat, especially beef. It has a special screen that tells you exactly what the temperature of the meat is. It's also waterproof and shuts off with the auto sleep mode.

Pros: - fast measurements - the 2-in-one operation is nice and easy to switch - big display + background lit Cons: - as for many people, the pivot broke despite careful handling - low viewing angle of display (can be problematic in specific scenarios, e.g. using the infra probe) - unexpectad switching between degrees C and F when pin probe has to penetrate into even not too solid substance (bread dough, for example) -

Purchase Sept 2024, worked great until 2 weeks ago Same as a lot of people, the collar broke at the base of the probe

I bought this product 1 year ago. I use it about 3-4 times a month. The pivot was always tight for opening the probe. It finally failed. The probe simply broke off when trying to move the probe from its rest position.
