As a self-proclaimed lazy chef, I absolutely LOVE this chopper. It is so easy to use, clean, and does a great job. Because of the size, I do recommend giving larger items a rough chop beforehand (onions, tomatoes, etc.) but even doing that and using this chopper saves me so much time in the kitchen.
Great little chopper. I'm short in storage space and this chopper is small and perfect. Very sharp for clean cutting and chopping. I would buy it again.
I have bought many! I have thrown away many! This one is sharp and does the job perfectly! No getting your knife and cutting board out to finish the job! It's easy to clean as well. This one is a keeper!
I love this chopper! It is truly one of my favorite kitchen tools. I think it is especially great for chopping carrots and onions. I have worn a few of these out, but they did last for years before they broke.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've purchased several similar choppers through the years and this one is the easiest to clean and reassemble. Just that. I'll probably use this for many years to come instead of getting frustrated and deciding to use a knife instead.
The chopper will not chop the outside tough edge of an onion. It does chop the inner pieces into very small bits. Not quite what I expected. I thought it would be smaller chunks, but not little bits which when they cook down are gone.
I've had it for 2 or 3 weeks, and it works pretty well. There is one issue with it. It chops fine, but it does not come apart so you can clean the upper section that has the plunger in it. Plenty of food scraps get up inside there and it is impossible to get them all out. The hopper is also very small. It's difficult to even get half of a medium size onion in it.
Went to Kohls to buy a new OXO food chopper that we had for about 7 years and it broke we saw the Cuisinart chopper and bought it instead great looking chopper. Very disappointed in the way it chops and you can not disassemble for a good cleaning.
This was the worst tool I've used in a long time. I tried it with a variety of sizes of onion and every piece just continued to get stuck in the blades. It was quicker for me to just dice them up with my knife then to mess with this tool, plus then I had to clean it!!
Tried to use this chopper on celery and immediately ran into problems. Chunks of celery kept getting caught in the blades so I had to stop and pull them out. Basically, I spent spent more time unjamming the vegetables than chopping. I returned the chopper and bought a no-name chopper for 1/3 the price that does a better job and is much easier to clean.
