Cuisinart Precision Master 5.5-Quart Stand Mixer | Poppy Seed

Purchased Precision Master 5.5 quart stand mixer as a replacement for a 25year old kitchen aid stand mixer. Kitchen Aid products have become extremely expensive and I was looking for an alternative mixer. I am very happy with my stand mixer. For my needs, it works as well as my old kitchen aid. I would highly recommend this product.

Love this mixer! Less expensive than the popular one by another brand, but a workhorse. I love to bake and this baby makes the task so easy. I use for everything from bread dough to.mashed potatoes. After watching for weeks I caught it at a great price. Knowing what I know now, I would pay full price for this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My sons bought me the PRECISION Master 5.5 Quart Stand Mixer after my Sunbeam stand mixer quit while I was making them Christmas cookies. I made the best, tastiest Italian pizzelles, wedding cookies, and chocolate chip cookies with my new mixer. It ran so smoothly and it was so much easier to get ingredients into the bowl. It really cut down on prep time, too! I keep it on my counter in my small kitchen. It's never getting put away!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this mixer after many years of using a KitchenAid. I read many reviews and decided to give it a go as it was so much more affordable than KitchenAid. I have only had it for a few weeks, but so far so good. The good things I noticed is that when I am kneading bread dough, the mixer stays put and doesn't move. Also I love that the tilt head stays down and I don't have to use a separate lock lever. It stays locked up or down by using the head lift release lever. I bake a lot of bread so time will tell, but so far I am happy with my purchase.

I bought this for myself as a birthday gift and couldn't be happier. I love to bake and have been using a hand mixer. I didn't realize what I was missing! It's SO quiet and mixes so well. I also got a couple of the attachments and am excited about those as well.

It's a bad design where the attachments do not tough bottom of the bowl if you are making a small batch. To say this is an intentional design where attachments don't reach to the bottom is ridiculous. Not sure if Cuisinart have actually designed this with real non-commercial bakers in mind. The competitor, KitchenAid's bowl actually lifts up so the paddles/hook touch the bottom to reach all ingredients. Wish I've done more research before buying this. Also, now due to high usage, the dough hook's paint is coming off, of course after the warranty ran out. Finding a replacement deemed to be a difficult task.

I love mixing by hand or hand-mixer...until I purchased my Cuisinart Stand Mixer...it cut my prep time in half! I am going to be baking much more now. The stand mixer is easy to use and I can set it to knead my bread dough while I work on something else.

great price on a fantastic stand mixer. BUR...I will NEVER order anything again from Walmart for delivery. in the delivery instructions I have my name my phone number and I also add an updated code each time to get into the building if I'm not here that also works in the delivery room. but what has happened at least the last two times is my deliveries are left outside in front of the building. there's never an attempt to call me using the screen at the door. they have my name they have my phone number and never attempt to contact me. they never call me to let me know they're here. and they never even attempt to get into the building to at least put my delivery inside the main door. The last two times I've been home the whole time I can look at my log history for butterfly nothing there. it irritates me so much that this happens. oh there was a third time that my order was actually deliberate to a different building that's not even my apartment building. The street address was the same but the name of the street was different and they still delivered it to the wrong place. that was a massive pain to get straightened out because Walmart did not believe anything I told them despite having a call from the other resident and another building a block away. that person who wasn't even the delivery person took the time to actually walk down to my building and call me from the intercom. and that's something I would never expect from any delivery from Walmart. I'm never going to do this again.

Very disappointed. Ordered this stand mixer and was so excited to use it when it arrived. I tried 3 different recipes; pizza dough, cookies and cake. In all 3, the mixer failed to completely blend the ingredients. I read the booklet, which said to stop and scrape the bowl often, including the bottom. With the cake batter, I fully stopped and scraped at least 6 times and still had dry cake batter at the bottom. That's pretty labor intensive, and is completely opposite of what a stand mixer is intended to be used for. I know others that have stand mixers, different brand, and they do not have this issue. It's a beautiful mixer, but not what I was expecting.

Having owned for many years a mixer from its major competitor, I had some qualms about purchasing this unit-my concerns disappeared after using it- it is powerful, it is easy to operate,and the paddle is made from metal which solves the problem of the rubberized coating chipping off as occurred when I used the competitor' s machine
