I had used these pans for the first time while staying at Airbnb rentals, and I fell in love immediately! The pan is large and sturdy. The long handle + helper handle are a fantastic combo. And the glass cover makes cooking in the pan a "no-guess process"! I make a lot of stir-frys and soups/stews for my family. But I find that using a wok is clunky, plus the foods fall into the wok's bottom, so it makes for a big baby-sitting job. Not my thing. Plus, taller pots can be literally too tall for me to work with on the stovetop (I'm only 5'1"). The Cuisinart Pro Series pan allows me to brown ingredients and then layer additional vegetables, herbs, spices etc. without having to constantly stir. Clean-up is super-easy, especially with plant-based recipes; and thank goodness for Bon Ami to keep the pan looking shiny and new. The only downside is that it's very large and heavy, but I consider wielding it part of my free-weights workout😆!
re: Professional Series™ Cookware 6 Quart Sauté Pan with Helper Handle and Cover. Love everything about my pan. The rivets. The sturdiness. The weight. The base. The helper handle. Lid fits perfectly. The high walls and depth of the pan.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice large size more useful than smaller size saute pan included in set. Heats very evenly and fast on induction cooktop due to thick, flat, magnetic base. Would have preferred two of the helper handles instead of the long handle for easier lifting, storage, and oven cooking(but then I guess it would be called a rondeau pan...).
10/ 10 for a fantastic product! It is sooo much bigger than I expected, but I am very happy!
This replaced a 7 quart aluminum saute pan that I didn't like because the bottom bowed as it heated up. The new pan is much better. The bottom stays flat so oil in it doesn't run to the perimeter and th pan heats very evenly. All in all I am very satisfied with this pan.
HEAVEY DUTY- HANDLE COOL TO THE TOUCH GREAT FOR DEEP FRYING ORE COOKING MEAT SAUTEING VEGTABLES...............OR WHEN THE HUSBAND GET OUT OF LINE ON GOOD CRACK WITH THE PAN WILL STREIGHTEN HIM OUT AND THANK GOODNESS NO DAMAGE TO THE PAN JUST KIDDING (HUMMM) OH AND FITS PERFECT IN THE DISHWASHER
Have enjoyed cooking with this sauté pan. Heats evenly and steadily, with easy cleanup. My husband comments that dishes taste better because if it. I believe, however, cooking is at least more fun.
Excellent pan, great quality, perfect size – it's so hard to find a 6 quart sauté pan! It's very Well-built and I love the see-through cover! It is a bit heavy but that's what makes it heat so evenly!
Lightweight and easy to use pan. I purchased this because I was cooking a dish that was burning in my 6 quart pot. The same dish didn't burn at all in this since everything was more evenly spread out. I also appreciate the pan is very lightweight, which makes it easier to transfer food when it's finished cooking and to clean it. My only complaint is that after only cooking once there are three tiny black dots on the pan that can't be scrubbed off.
Stainless steel so cooking with it can be a non sticking challenge. Eggs for instance, even with oil had issues. It's big so it is a bit heavy, I think near 10 pounds, makes it difficult for some to turn and dump. Cost is a bit high so minus one star for cost
