[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got our Cuisinart Reversible Cast Iron Grill/Griddle Plate recently. First of all, the griddle is very strong and will last many years. The side handles are neat to have when moving the griddle with cooking mitts. The griddle is smooth for cooking pancakes or eggs. Has a drain away channel around the perimeter when cooking bacon or other foods that have oils/grease. The channel makes for healthier eating. Measures perfect for our standard stovetop to fit over the two burners. Turning it over, you can use the grill side for chicken, fish, burgers, steaks -- and much more. The raised ridges on the grill gives a professional type charred and browning for the meats/veggies (very tasty). The ridges raise the food up for better heat distribution. Just like the pro chefs use. We use the griddle/grill over a barbeque or the stove. Can you imagine using this camping, it would be so useful. Excellent for the fund raising breakfasts, lunches or dinner events. The clean up is a breeze due to the cast iron. Do not have to worry about PFO's or PFOA's due to the cast iron. Much healthier and worry free. This is the best of the best for griddle/grill surfaces for everyone, hands down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think it's a very nice griddle, but the griddle is badly pitted. it does not affect your ability to cook, but as far the look of the griddle it's poor quality. I love the overall style of the griddle with handles and two sided grill. I like the high wall sides so leaking oils or fats won't be a concern when cooking. I love the instructions added to make it easy for newbies to cast iron. I recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a large, heavy duty cast iron grill plate that gives you the ability to cook many types of items that would normally not be possible on a grill. It also works on the stovetop and gives you a nice large surface for making pan cakes and other breakfast items. The second side with the ribs also works well at getting sear marks on steaks and meats. Build quality is solid and heat retention is great. The cooking surface area is about 9 inches by 16 inches.

I especially like the drain channel along the four sides for collecting the excess grease. This is very healthy touch for cooking bacon and other foods that release fats when cooked. The grilling side is great for vegetables, fish and chicken breasts. I definitely recommend this for very professionally cooked outdoor food.

Retains heat for a long time and offers a great surface to cook on. Fits over two burners, and is perfect for pancakes, French toast, eggs, tortillas... I could go on! Flip it over and have perfect, juicy chicken breast, seared veggies or a seared steak. Heavy, but to be expected with cast iron. This is a staple item!

Product dimensions are misleading, as they do not include the handles which are literally attached. I bought this product purely because it fit my barbeque but now the lid cant close properly
