Cuisinart Slow Cookers & Rice Cookers 8 Cup Rice Cooker

I bought the 8 cup Cuisinart Rice Cooker; which also has a small steamer attachment. The rice cooker is easy to use and keeps the rice warm a long time. It's important to put the vegetables in the steamer toward the end of the rice cooking so they don't get overdone.

Excellent product. We owned the last 8 cup for over 10 years and it died. Bought a new one to replace it. Not too many products last this long and we used it many times a month. Also this rice cooker makes the rice like sticky rice and we love it.

Simple to use, no unnecessary frills, great rice every time and right on the money. Had a fancier rice cooker with about nine other functions that we never used and when we needed a replacement pot simple could not find it. This is tried and true so we bought our second one.

I purchsed the 8 cup rice maker/steamer about 6 weeks ago. I've followed the instructions each time and it makes perfect rice, steaming vegetables at the same time. If using frozen vegetables while steaming rice, I'd reduce the amount of water a bit as I found the rice a bit sticky. The coolest feature is that once the rice is ready, the machine turns to a keep warm feature. My only disappointment is that the steamer doesn't have a very big capacity. I can cook rice for 4 -6 people but the veggies only feed 2 - 3.

Makes a HUGE water mess when cooking rice.

It lasted less than two years even do the usage was not intense, and there is not replacement available, product is obsolete
