Was afraid I wouldn't be able to figure out how to use an immersion blender so I put off purchasing one until… I found a recipe I just HAD to try so… did my research and of course I chose Cuisinart! So happy I did! It was easy to use & clean (I was so relieved) and my new recipe came out perfect than great! Now I keep looking for more recipes and reasons to try all the attachments & functions! Highly recommend!
I am thrilled with my Cuisinart stick blender! It has made my life so much easier in many ways. I used to have to remove potatoes from the liquid to blend them when making potato soup. Once I put them in the blender when still hot, and the lid popped off the blender, spraying potatoes all over the room! Now, I can just blend them in the liquid - no mess, no struggle! It's great.
Our old cordless immersion blender (from another manufacturer) never worked very well and eventually gave up the ghost. Our son has the same Cuisinart model that we purchased and he's raved about it plus I've used it when cooking at his home. It was an easy decision to choose this model for our household. I've already used it a couple times for soups and blending cashews for a vegan "cheese" spread, and it works great.
Cuisinart never disappoints. This kitchen tool, with its attachments, replaces my blender, food processor, hand mixer, and immersion blender all in one. There was a bit of a learning curve at first, but that's negligible compared to the benefits it provides. It stores easily and frees up space in my kitchen by replacing several bulkier small kitchen appliances.
We received this product as a wedding gift & were thrilled. Overall, it has been great - sturdy & well-made, easy to use & clean, multi-functional and well worth the minimal amount of precious kitchen storage space it occupies. Only problem - when you wash the food processor attachment lid, water seems to be stuck in it. When I shake it, I can still hear the water inside. I am concerned that will become moldy and unusable pretty soon, however, the other attachments will still be useable & the quality is mostly worth that design flaw.
So far I like this immersion blender, I've only used it a couple times though. The one thing that is a bit hard to get used to is having to push the unlock button before blending. Although this is a bit of a hassle I understand the safety aspect of it.
I use this blender 2 to 3 times a day. I do prefer my old Nutribullet, but the new model has little power. This blender is powerful enough, but splashes more when I mix my protein drinks in a mug because it's not very tall. Pressing the lock button to start is a little annoying, but you can take your finger off it, and I do like the variable speed dial on top. Overall, it was the best option available.
It is nice hand blender. However, I loved my older blender before the "lock button" was placed on the new models. With my arthritic hands, have to hold the lock button along with the start button makes it hard for me. Hopefully I will get use to it. I looked your hand blendesr without the lock button but to no avail.
I purchased a Smart Stick a few days ago and have used it 4 or 5 times. The quality of the applance is obvious and it is well made, solid and feels good in my hand. I do not like the fact I have tp press 2 buttons to start to use it but then only use one button. It is counter intutive and awkward. I realize it is supposed to be a safety feature but I wonder if it is really needed. I am glad I purchased it and am using it often. I will get used to the second button but suggest they reconsider its necessity.
The one I just bought was to replace the old Cuisinart stick blender that I had. I MUCH prefer the one I replaced, I don't like having to press 2 buttons to make it start, and because the design has changed I need to lift the blender up more often to make thick things like hummus, so every time You lift the blender out of what ever you're blending you need press 2 buttons to get it going again.
