Great kettle! Love the look on my countertop and worth paying a bit extra for a stainless steel vs a plastic electric kettle. I didn't think it would be important but having the temperature gauge helps me stop the boiling before it gets too hot to drink. Saves me the time wasted on cooling the water to be able to drink it. Wide mouth so it's easy to clean if necessary.

The tea kettle is quite beautiful, and has one of the largest water reservoirs of any I found. The retro appearance is perfect for those who have vintage, cottage, or farmhouse tastes, but modern enough to really fit anywhere. The black is a true, deep black - not that "off" color some cheap models have, and the construction is solid. As far as function, even at its full 1.8L capacity, the water heats up FAST. I purchased this as a gift for my husband, and he LOVES it (already migrated to the "man cave"). This kettle is difficult to find, especially in black, so if you stumble across it at a good price, grab it. NOTE: My review is for the tea kettle only. The seller is a completely different story! Poor shipping tracking, and I am fortunate my package arrived intact without any damage - the kettle was shipped in its actual RETAIL box WITHOUT ANY ADDITIONAL PROTECTION! Though I love the kettle, I would be VERY hesitant to buy from this particular seller again.

I love it. All my kitchen appliance (in a rental apartment) are white so I wanted to replace a white electric kettle and finally gave out. I wanted a kettle not a jug. Limited choices but this looked good. It holds just under 2 L. of water, boils up fast with a shut off, sits where its predecessor sat and does exactly what I wanted.

Very difficult to remove lid

Been using the kettle for a few weeks now. It looks great, is light-weight, the temperature is easy to read, it has a pretty blue indicator light and I can easily see the filling levels. If I'm being super picky the lid could be just a tiny bit easier to remove and the handle ever so slightly blocks filling but I'm happy to have it.

I love the style of this kettle. It seems to be working well so far for what I need. Rated it down because the electric base came cracked on the side but as I can't get to the store easily, I glued it back and will make do. The there than that am happy with the purchase. I do wish they had more color options though, as I would have loved a vintage green.

No auto shut off. That was negative stars. I can't remember buying an electric kettle anytime in the recent past that didn't have this feature

Just opened the box and saw scratches and imperfections in the paint. Even though they aren't deep, I'm kind of worried that this will be a point of failure for the kettle. I've included a picture with aqua lines indicating where the scratches are. Other than that it's exactly what I'm looking for. I'm returning it in the hope that the new one doesn't have that issue.
