Cumin adds sweetness to root vegetables (carrots & beets) and to legume soups
Ground Cumin adds lightly sweet, warming & nutty flavour. Use on a variety of root vegetables & legumes as well as meats to spark up the flavor. It is used as an ingredient in chili powder. Also, Cumin reportedly contain antioxidants that keep cancer cells from multiplying.

I bought this to recreate a dish from my favorite resturaunt at home. Turned out way better! Can't wait too look up new recipes to use these curry seeds as they are delicious and healthy. Yum!

I HAVE RECENTLY FOCASED ON IMPROVED WELLNESS THRU NUTRITION AND AM BUILDING MY INVENTORY OF BULK SPICES FOR PEAK FRESHNESS AND AM ATTRACTED TO THIS SELLAR BECAUSE OF THE EMPHASISE ON ORGANIC, KOSHER, AND WHOLE SEEDS AND GRAINS.

I normally purchase Penzey's whole cumin and grind it myself. I have compared both (recently ground and not toasted before grinding) and the cumin from Food to Live smells a little sharper/greener. It tastes that way, too - I haven't used it in a recipe, yet.
