Assembly and mounting is a lot tougher without the correct sockets. It's do-able without but I'd recommend you have a socket set to hand. I used this cargo carrier for a 500 mile road trip on a Ford Explorer and it was perfect. The raised position placed the luggage above the exhaust line and I was still able to open the trunk with luggage installed. Online order for store pick up was smooth. So a great product, even better price and a quick and easy order/pick up.

Received sooner than scheduled

This is a great carrier. It was easy to assemble and was a great for additional cargo space. I really liked the raised arm of this carrier, which provided for more ground clearance. The carrier pin was excellent as well. Once you ratchet it in, the carrier does not move around. It worked well with my VW Passat sedan.

It arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. Assembly was a snap. I bolted it together with the nuts to the outside to protect the cargo. The carrier was advertised to hold a maximum of 500 pounds but really holds a maximum of 300 pounds. I expected that. I have not used the carrier yet, but it is solid when mounted in the receiver.

I purchased the cargo carrier to transport a power washer with my Kia Rio. Assembly was easy and quality is good. I added a couple reflectors to the back for better visibility for for rear approaching vehicles. My only wish was the offset was a couple inches more, since my car sits low. I am very pleased with the product.

Comparing dollars to dollars on the various hitch cargo carriers this was well worth the purchase, and I'd buy it again. Easy to install, anyone could put it together.

This was a great purchase. Not sure what people do with the one that doesnt fold up. I recomend this completely. Very easy to put together, very strong and didnt move a bit.

Performed well mounted to 1 1/4" receiver hitch. Angle still allowed tailgate on Pontiac Torrent (similar to GMC Terrain/Chevy Equinox) to open easily. Functioned as advertised, assemply was a little difficult and needed to provide additional hardware to make it work.
