Not for a 2008 Jeep liberty
The product looked great, unfortunately the description on your page is not correct this does not fit a 2008 Jeep Liberty it must be a 2077 or earlier.

Great Power
This item arrived on time. The installation was easy. I like the idea of using the tail lights rather than threading wire along entire vehiclese. I have not towed a trailer yet.

replacement for same item that didn't last.
I thought that Curt was a good brand name item, when I purchased this same item two years ago. I didn't even look for a warranty, since I assumed that this would be a one time purchase, and would not need to be replaced. Oh well - Walmart had it on sale for less than anybody else, and since I had already neatly run the wires on the previous install and wiretied them securely, I just clipped them close to the failed controller, and spliced them onto the new controller. Hopefully this one will last. I checkmarked that I would recommend this to a friend only because if you have a car with separate tail lights, brake lights, and running lights, you will need this, and the connections are a direct plug-in for your specific vehicle.
