The PC arrived in its retail box without an outer shipping box. The model and specifications were visible to anyone handling it, which concerned me given the value of the RTX 5090 Founders Edition inside. Fortunately, the packaging had only minor damage, and the expected components were present. On first startup, none of the GPU's display ports produced a picture. I tried different ports and KVM cables, then connected my monitor to the motherboard and completed Windows setup using the AMD integrated graphics. The RTX 5090 did not appear in Device Manager, and the NVIDIA driver installer could not detect it. I checked the GPU power cable at both ends, but that did not resolve the issue. After removing the case's GPU shroud and a small Torx screw on the support bracket, I found that the card had shifted slightly out of its motherboard slot. Its lights still came on, but Windows could not detect it. Once I fully seated the card, Windows prompted me for the BitLocker recovery key on startup. Retrieving that key added another step before I could get back into Windows. The GPU was then detected, and the NVIDIA drivers installed successfully. The included Gigabyte software controls the lighting and fans. The Nexlinq app needed to manage the AIO's LCD screen was not preinstalled. The fans are also loud at their default settings, so I'll need to tune them and check temperatures. I'm glad the GPU issue was fixable, but a PC at this price should arrive with its graphics card securely seated and working on first startup. Someone without PC-building experience might reasonably have returned it.
