As a starting out hobby jeweler it's the perfect little tool to keep handy while learning the craft, anyone that thinks they might ever need such a tool or have as a just incase needed tool I'd highly recommend this product

Heavy duty did the job I needed it for a little clumsy trying to use my left hand to take a ring off my right but I did it by myself would recommend

It definitely worked for removing the ring, but the ring kept slipping off the nook, so you had to keep removing the tool and readjusting it. It didn't make a clean cut either, but I'm sure a jeweler could fix it up.

The ring cutter came with two blades. Neither one worked in the slightest. They did not even scratch the ring, much less cut it. I ended up testing it on multiple materials, including paper just to see if it would cut. it didn't even cut paper. Do not waste your money.
