Works great and sets up seamlessly with the GECync thermostat.

I installed a Cync Smart Thermostat in my home, but there was a problem; not with the thermostat itself, but with the location. It was near the TV, and the TV gives off heat, so I was constantly adjusting it to make the house comfortable. That's where the Cync Smart Room Temperature Sensor comes into play. I simply mounted it on a wall opposite of where any heat-generating devices are, paired it up, and the problem was solved. I know that's not the intended purpose of this device, but in my case, it was the solution I needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These products work great together. I can set a comfortable temp and they will adjust whether I need AC or heat accordingly. I'm not having to constantly adjust the temp as the weather changes. So it's a really nice feature for me.

Because of that, it's always a lot warmer than the rest of the house and especially warmer than where my CYNC thermostat is. Having a separate sensor in my hottest room, has been super helpful. It's also small enough to place somewhere discreet.

Having inidividual sensors in rooms helps tremendously in making sure that each room is at the correct temperature regardless of where the thermostat is.

It's not complicated to get started and I just know that I will save money in the long run because of its accuracy. I like to keep my bedroom very cool at night bc I sleep better that way, but I don't like it cold in the daytime when I'm trying to get things done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This compact sensor is easy to use with GE's Cync app and smart thermostat. Just pull the battery tab, scan the QR Code with the app, and it's linked to the thermostat. In the app you can name it's location, and choose when the thermostat monitors it. This sensor has good reach, and I've never had an issue with it not communicating with the thermostat. The sensor is particularly useful if you home has hot spots or cold spots. For instance, you have a two story home with one HVAC system, and one thermostat downstairs. In the summer, heat rises, and your upstairs bedrooms are hot, but your thermostat downstairs reaches the setpoint and turns the air off. Now instead of guessing how much colder to set the thermostat, you can tell your smart thermostat to ignore the downstairs temperature, and cool your house based on the temperature in the master bedroom during the hours you're going to sleep there. GE's excellent Cync app makes all of this very easy and intuitive. If you want to get really fancy, you can have multiple sensors, and have the thermostat monitor them on whatever schedule you want, or even have the thermostat average their readings.
