D'Addario EJ16-3D Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings, Light, 3 Sets

My wife has had her dad's Gibson guitar since his passing 8 years ago. She just dabbles with it occasionally, but would like to learn more as her retirement approaches. While it took her a little bit of time to restring the guitar due to it being her first time, she is happy to have new strings that are a little lighter than her dad used since he played every day, since he liked a little fuller sound of a medium string. She said the light D'Addario strings are easier on her fingers and still have a nice rich tone. She likes that D'Addario does the 3 set packs and will purchase in the future since they are a good bargain.

I'm so happy I can get all of my needs from Walmart.com. D'Addario stings are great. These guitar strings help with corrosion which is a problem for me and my sweaty hands. Sound is great and bright. Tunes well and stays in tune for the most part. I use this brand on my violin so of course this was my first choice for any other string instrument I own. The set of 3 helps me have an extra set ready to go so I'm not delayed on waiting till my strings to come in. Highly recommend these!

Delighted to have such excellent quality acoustic guitar strings. I don't play but our son and our niece do. I was so impressed with the 3 sets of the D'Addario strings received that I immediately went out and purchased another single set. Won't say which of the two proficient musicians in our family will be gifted with the 3 sets vs. the single set. But I do know that they'll both be thrilled.

The D'Addario EJ16-3D Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings, Light 3 set is an excellent set of guitar strings. My husband had had his guitar restrung with some high end brand of strings at a guitar shop about a year ago. He was very satisfied with them but recently had one of the strings broke. He decided to restring the guitar his self and got the D'Addario brand of strings. Immediately out of the package he said they had the look and feel of high end brand that was on the guitar.He had no trouble with the restringing. When he finished he tuned it and was pleased that they were easy to tune. The real test was of course the playing which they have excellent sound. The only test we won't be able to report on till later is the durability. Overall impression is great strings plus great price.

I bought a Yamaha f335 and the stock strings were hard on my fingers and difficult to fret. I decided to go with these D'Addario light strings and made a world of difference. They are not as hard on my finger tips. I will admit that I also had the guitar setup but fretting is easier now. I'm very new to guitar playing so I don't have much knowledge in sounds description but the guitar does sound different. Kind of bright. I've only had them for a couple of weeks, so I can't speak of longevity but so far so good. But if they break, I got the 3 pack so I'll be good for a while.

3 full sets are more than I expected. The box contains 3 bags. Each bag contains a full set of 6 guitar strings. E,A,D,G,B,E . I can't as to how well they work for a guitar. I am using some of them to cut clay. As a potter, the easiest way to cut lumps of clay is to slice it with a guitar wire (or like) suspended between two handles or like a bow. The solid wires work perfectly.

I've been using D'Addario strings since I bought my first acoustic electric, an Ovation Balladeer, in about 1976. Why? Because they had the best sound when interchanged between acoustic and electric, and really importantly, they didn't break every time I needed to change a high B or E string. They also maintain tuning and last longer than any other strings I have tried, and I HAVE tried others. Some rust up, some lose sound, and others break constantly. I currently use the phosphor bronze for my Taylor acoustic/electric for all the same reasons I used them on my long gone Ovation.

Extremely resilient! Easy to install. Quite easy to tune as well. Very reasonably priced and keeps their ring for quite a while! Nice crisp sound. Highly recommend

Sadly. these strings did not work out for me. Within an hour or so, the strings started to break. I don't think these strings are meant to be used for long playing sessions. Both D and G broke. I wasn't really able to get the sound that I wanted either. It kind of had a muddy tone. They were a bit rough on my fingers too. Perhaps I had gotten a faulty set?
