The first fishing reel I ever bought was a Daiwa. My favorite reel used for freshwater bass, trout, saltwater bass, halibut, bonito and mackerel for over 20 years was also a Daiwa. So when this boomer wanted a quality reel to spend quality time with his grandson I bought Daiwa. This reel doesn't disappoint, extremely smooth gears with infinite anti-reverse for better hooksets and a wide ranging drag.
This reel is incredible quality for the price Daiwa never fails to disappoint the feel of the reel is more like a 75$ reel from the likes of Shimano but the finish is about right for the money
This is a really nice reel. Works great-caught several fish so far! Casts nicely, doesn't tangle. I recommend it.
Used it once so far and liked it pretty smooth we'll see if it last
Worked well, perfect what I needed.
A very smooth reel. I use these for my charter boat. You cant beat the value.
Very nice reel for the price and after many months still no issues
We haven't used it yet since it's a Christmas gift, but I feels good
Great value (no pun intended) for what you get. I have $200 spinning reels and bought this one in a pinch where I didn't have access to my gear. It actually became one of my favorite setups for my kayak, super light and somewhat smooth drag, wouldn't trust it to land any trophy's but great budget reel.
Good reel but you get what you pay for. Reels with more ball bearings are smoother. With that said, for the price this is a great reel
