Danby 4.3 Cu. ft. Upright Freezer DUFM043A2WDD-3, White

Purchased this Danby 4.3 cf freezer to supplement our crowded refrigerator freezer drawer. We like the 4.3 cf size, not too small but ample for the extras and longer term frozen items. We also like the in-door shelves for smaller things, the freezer coils included in the fixed shelving for even temperature distribution, the extra durable countertop top, and the small recessed rear wheels which makes it easy to move. It is very quiet and holds its temperature. Danby is a Canadian company in business since 1947 with production also in Ohio, USA as well which we we are delighted to support. They include an unprecedented 5-Year Warranty on this freezer. Extremely happy with this product.

I just received it today and it is just what I wanted! Danby's website said it was garage ready, the owner's manual said it wasn't. I called Danby and all is good...IT IS GARAGE READY!!! The owner's manual at the Danby website had the updated manual. I can't wait to start using it.

Definitely met our expectations. Bought a Danby Mini Fridge previously and have been extremely pleased with it.

One word. "EXCELLENT" Very good buy and good price. Have it couple months now, very quiet and no problem at all. Very pleased.

The freezer arrived earlier than the promised time. The freezer is very quiet. The dimensions is kind of fat and short, just fits the space I planned to place.

We moved into an apartment 3 weeks ago and replaced our large upright freezer with the smaller Danby upright freezer. Fits in our storage room perfectly and we can't believe how much frozen food we can put in it. Great move to make.

After 6 months use the Freezer is working as advertised. It has survived its first fall and winter in the garage without problems. Very little frost on the coils so I'm still a few months from a defrost. As I said in my initial review I gave it 4 stars instead off 5 because I'm unable to reverse the door due to no holes on the left bottom for the screws.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Arrived, plugged in for 2 days, never froze. Called manufacturer who said to check clearance and provide photographic evidence of clearance and that the freezer was level. Told to leave it plugged in for 2 more days. Never got cold over a week. After that, manufacturer washed their hands of it and told me to deal with Walmart. NIGHTMARE to deal with during the holidays. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT BUY! Manufacturer (not in US) does not stand behind their product.

The freezer arrived three days early, but it was destroyed while still in the carton. I wish I could attach a photo, but I just got "There was an error processing the selected file." over and over. The freezer door was not only significantly dented, but the metal was punctured in two places. The shipping carton was not even intact. I called 800-WalMart and they told me I had to repackage the freezer myself to send it back. They could not tell me HOW, but told me to wait up to 48 hours for an e-mail to explain it. The carton was broken, and the carton came strapped to the base, which I have no way to replicate. So, we put the freezer (not packaged for return) in the back of an SUV and took it to customer service at our local WalMart store where we got a prompt, no-hassle refund. Thank goodness for the local store, because the rest of the experience was terrible. We went out later and bought something in stock at a Home Depot store.

I received our freezer yesterday and the size is perfect for us. 24 hours latter it's seems to working fine. My complaint is the shipping damage. The front upper right side door was dented obviously from a Forklift ( see pictures ) The process from the warehouse to the customer's front door needs to be corrected.
