Danby 4.4 cu. ft. Retro Compact Fridge in Iridium Silver (DAR044A6DDB)

This was an almost identical replacement for my previous Danby mini-fridge of 11 years. Works great with a temperature of 35 degrees F at medium setting. I like the updated black interior with LED lighting too. Not sure how well the polished chrome plastic handle will hold up over time, but for now it looks and works great.

Product is exactly like our previous model. We especially like the idea of the Fruit and Crisper acrylic basket for holding the produce in place.

This compact refrigerator is so beautiful. The refrigerator didn't take long to get to the correct temperature for perishable food and drink. The outside is beautiful and is lockable.

This bar fridge is spacious as well as attractive. It holds a lot of bottles and cans. The door holds tall bottles and cans as well. It's very quiet and keeps the contents well chilled.

Super pleased with this fridge!!! Aesthetically, very nice looking and sleek…. Keeps drinks perfectly cold, temperature controlled. Using strictly as a beverage fridge, just what we needed. My husband switched the door to other side, fridge is well designed. Definitely, would highly recommend!!!

Key information is so hard to find before purchasing items like this. For instance, this refrigerator requires a minimum of 5 inches of rear clearance. Most installations will not allow for a 5 inch gap between fridge and wall. Other than that piece of critical information, fridge is fine. Switching door from right to left required only a screwdriver and 15 minutes, using provided instructions. Fridge looks good and is very quiet (I never hear it run).

I ordered this Danby mini fridge from Walmart and it arrived fine except for the right front leveling foot was cracked off and unusable. This is because they don't use enough protection in the packaging to protect the bottom of the unit in shipping. There's no way to contact Walmart or Danby to request a warranty replacement of the specific $5 part, Walmart's automated customer service system only lets you return the entire fridge or request a refund, which isn't worth the hassle. I bet Walmart and Danby take advantage with this inadequate packaging assuming most customers will feel the same way.

Good compact fridge. Model DAR044A6BSL DB0 was not accepted in product registration, so picked nearest model number. Received product in damaged condition (cosmetic damage to rear of the unit). Attached photos showing the dents, and cosmetic issues. Works as expected.

Buyer beware! If you buy this at Wal-mart, from what I now see online, it is likely to arrive damaged, as ours did. It is such a cute fridge and we were really looking forward to it! But no. The worst part is Wal-mart will not refund us the additional insurance/warranty we bought. So, we returned the fridge, and now are out the insurance money which is to cover the damaged fridge which we no longer have.
