Danby DCF072A3WDB 7.2 cu. ft. (204 L) Garage Ready Chest Freezer in White

The freezer was well packaged and I found it to be in perfect condition (i.e., no scratches, dents, or other damage) after removing the packing materials. I have had the unit for several months now and am very pleased with its operation as it runs quiet and maintains the desired temperature. I purchased a freezer thermometer and spent a couple of days tweaking the temperature control until the unit reached the proper setting. I have not had to adjust the temperature control since then.

Best warranty. Bought it because our last freezer had a 1 yr warranty and quit at 4 years old. Pretty disappointing - freezers should last a long time. This is the only brand with a 5 year warranty and still priced about the same as others.

Arrived a day earlier. Easy to unpack. Lightweight. Has 2 wheels in the back but no light inside like it claimed. Yet to find out how well it works. So far so good. Got a 5.5cu from Wal-Mart in 2016. Same brand Danby. Still works good.

Good freezer. Haven't had it very long, but seems to be working well so far. Would recommend.

The Danby chest freezer is a well designed unit; however, almost immediately there was a frost buildup along the back side and top. I ran a paper towel along the top under the lid and found there was a gap along the back. I contacted my dealer and the tech found that the lid was warped. Danby elected to replace the freezer. A replacement was delivered and without my saying anything the appliance delivery people discovered that the replacement was a wreck. There were many dents and the lid was skewed. The freezer did not make it to my basement. I declined another replacement and adjusted the hinges as much as I could. I will live with a little frost and more frequent defrosts.
