Danby Designer Storage Upright Reversible Deep Freezer Cooler, 8.5 cubic feet

The new freezer is very good and we are very happy to have it! Highly recommended for small spaces or as a secondary freezer. I have to also give another 5 stars on the warranty service. This was the main reason why we shopped the brand, and indeed when there was a problem with the older unit, we got fast and effective service at home. No hassle.

I used to have a freezer chest for years but got tired of trying to get stuff from the bottom...this upright 8.5 cubic foot fits in my basement perfectly, has door shelves, you can get the door reversed if you want too prior to delivery, was the perfect price for my budget and its easy to locate what I want!

I was really happy with the amount of room this freezer has and also happy that I didn't have to bend to get in the freezer. This has made my life much easier for a 90 year old.

This freezer fits our needs perfectly. We only had a small space to put one and this filled the bill. It also runs very quietly.

we changed from a chest freezer to the Danby upright freezer and it's so much more convenient. No more items getting buried at the bottom as everything is now in full view!

Only received unit couple days ago, but so far start up a breeze and great features, so quiet you don't know it's running. Especially impressed at the built in "vacuum" seal upon closing the unit after removing/ placing items. This our fouth Danby product...3 various sizes "mini fridges" We are very pleased with them all.

compact space saver. shelves freeze quickly, energy efficent

This is a great compact freezer. It worked well until 2 of the shelves started getting thick frost, while the other shelves were fine. It came with a wonderful warranty (5 years, including parts and labor.). However getting Danby to provide repair service was a bit like pulling teeth. On the positive side, they did eventually offer service through a local appliance repair company. That company verified freon was leaking and as a result Danby did replace the freezer. However they would not haul away the old one. Nevertheless I am grateful for the great warranty and the replacement freezer.

Seems to be very efficient really tight seal. Really needs a light though
