Danby DUFM032A3WDB-3, 3.2 Cu.ft. Upright Freezer, White

It's a perfect size for 2nd freezer. It has been working very well. It's noiseless! I also have the second fridge 3cubic feet which is still working very well after almost 3 years. I am happy with both products.

[Employee of walmartcanada] The freezer in our fridge was getting so over stuffed we added this upright Danby to our kitchen and it's a great solution for us. We love the way the door opens from the front like a mini fridge for easy access to all the sturdy shelves. Very quiet. Easy to set temperature as the adjustment dial is on the outside, at the top, in the back so you don't have to open the freezer to check or change the setting.

This is my second Danby, 3.2 cf, the 1st one I purchased years ago is the same, it is great, no problems

So far so good. I've only had it for a short time. Wanting to freeze a whole bunch of stuff of course I already find it too small. It seems to be working just fine. I like the 5 year labor & parts warranty. That's actually why I chose this product. Hope I don't need to use it.

My wife and I needed a little freezer for our basement to handle the occasional extra summer pies, turkeys when they come on sale, and overload from our main fridge. This little freezer fits the bill perfectly. It's quiet, front-loading for extra convenience, and is covered by a nearly unheard-of Danby 5-year manufacturer's warranty (parts and labour), with the option to extend the warranty up to an additional 5 years (with online registration) for a very minimal extra cost. At this price point, it felt like winning the lottery, as nearly all other freezers I researched only had a 1-year warranty. Many reviews from other brands complained that shortly after the warranty period, the freezer failed. I invested in a wireless thermometer that continuously monitors temperature inside the freezer, and have found that the freezer hardly needs to run to keep itself at a cool - 17 degrees C (the same as our main fridge freezer) - this is a setting 3 of about 10 on the back of the freezer. The shipping container and packaging was excellent, the freezer had no damage, and it's light enough to reposition easily on the floor. The door uses magnetic seals and just for fun, I used my FLIR camera to see if there was any cool-air leakage: there wasn't any. This was an excellent buy for me, and I am very pleased with my new, quiet little freezer with a 10-year warranty!

This freezer easily freezes down to at least 12 degrees below zero without turning the control all the way up. I have decided to keep the control way over to the left opposite the coldest level, and it is keeping the temperature at from approximately four or five degrees below zero to five or eight degrees above zero - more than enough to keep ice cream well-frozen. Except for an occasional click, you could easily sleep next to it - it is that quiet.

We used this product in a research lab to store animal samples. It worked flawlessly for about 5 years---until the university safety officer came and insisted a lock be installed to "secure the samples". A facility service guy came to install the lock, and drilled right through the condenser coil (on the side panel), ruining everything. We bought an identical freezer as the replacement, and everybody agreed we are not going to install any lock this time.

I've had this for two months and I'm very pleased with it. Although it's small, it still holds a lot. Because it is upright and has three shelves, I don't "lose" things in it. It did come with a dent the size of a nickel right on the front door. It was obviously put there by the manufacturer as it was covered up with a sticker from them. My freezer is in the basement and is not seen, but it's still annoying to pay full price for something with a defect, even if small.

What is the matter with Danby's packing department? This is my third attempt to buy a Danby (others were purchased from Best Buy). ALL 3 came with dents, especially on the corners, where they would rust out. It's supposed to be a good product. I only wish I could find out for myself.

If I could give you a “O” I would!!! Appliance damaged, box shipped in looked like it had been thru a war..no wonder item was damaged. Pickup was a nightmare, finally happened...can't find a way to track when you get it back so I can get my $ back
