Dance Factory - PlayStation 2

I love this game. It met every expectation I had and more! I own so many cds. I can finally play a video game that allows me to use any music that I have. I don't have to listen to a preset list of songs. This game allows you to dance to any song! It only works with a dance mat that hooks up at the controller plug in. A USB dance mat does not work. It is the best game!

This game is like the best dance game u can get cuz with the dance dance revolution games ur stuck wit the songs it comes with and usually like 90 percent of those songs i dont like. so this one lets u use any CD u have, its impossible to get tired of the same songs cuz its literally infinite songs u can play on it XD

I absolutely love this product! I bought it for my sons and daughter with the PS2 bundle! They immediately started playing! I wish they had included the mats though..... Had to buy those separate. But, fun for the whole family!

Easy to use - Nice being able to dance to the music of your choice. Usually does a decent job of creating dances, though occasionally they don't seem to fit the music.

This came two weeks after it was suppose to be here. I didn't know it need a mat.

Ever since the first time I stepped on a mat and tried the Dance Dance Revolution games I wished there was a way to use my favorite music and still have the same DDR experience. I thought Dance Factory would be the answer to my prayers. Boy was I mistaken. The graphics are awful but I could have cared less if the game was better designed, sadly it isn't. I got it, popped in it followed the instructions and the put in my favorite CD. I then waited almost a half an hour for the game to create dance moves for the 18 songs on my CD. Finally the game was ready and I got on the mat (which is a little smaller and slips all over the place as opposed to the DDR mat that came with Supernova or the ones you can buy for any system) I was very very disappointed. The arrows follow no pattern whatsoever. The moves aren't even closely in beat with the music. And there are only two modes to choose from. The easy one my 14 month old baby could do. It is that slow and the expert one makes you thankful you didn't twist an ankle or slide head long into your TV after a 6 minute song. My advice if you just have to try it is to use the make your own moves option and actually create the dances yourself to the music you want. Allowing the game to do it for you is nothing but disappointing.

Second time buying same game, still doesn't work. Child very disappointed :-(
