Danco 1.5 GPM Dual Thread Water-Saving Aerator in Chrome (10476)

The sink aerator is fine and works well. It was a delivery and I paid the online price $4.95. However upon removing from the delivery bag, I found it was marked “Clearance $1.”

This aerator works really well. Even though it's a water sense aerator and conserves water you don't feel deprived of enough water or water pressure. It actually felt like we had better pressure with it. It produces 1.5 GPM. Changing out our old aerator for this Danco dual thread aerator was so easy. Anyone can do it. The dual thread eliminates the guesswork on what you already have. I wasn't sure if our old one was a male or female thread but Danco made it easy for me by making it a dual thread and it saved me an extra trip to the store.

The Danco 1.5 GPM Dual Thread Water-Saving Aerator in Chrome was super easy to install and ready to go right out of the packaging. The water flow is nice and gives good pressure. I like that it is a water saving aerator but still provides a good water flow.

This duel thread water- saving aerator from Danco is very nice. I like that its duel thread and fits both male and female faucets. It's super asy to install. I like having a even stream of water again since my aerator needed replaced. This aerator has a thick washer so I had no leaks from the very first install. The somewhat simple design over the screen is nice as well. This aerator being a water saver is a plus. I look forward to having many years of use from this product.

I used this aerator to replace an older, higher flow aerator in my master bath sink. The installation was simple; unscrew the old one and screw this one in place. (I had to use pliers to remove the old stuck-on aerator.) I was surprised that the 1.5gpm flow rate provided plenty of water- I thought it might be too low. The stream came out as a nice, softly aerated stream. Just for kicks, I put this on the tub faucet. While it did fit perfectly and allowed water flow, 1.5gpm is far too low for a tub. You certainly could use it without the restrictor, but doing so loses some of the aerator properties. Nice aerator, so now I'm going to go get a few more to replace the other old aerators.

Just what I needed. The great thing about this one is that it is dual thread which means it can fit male or female end faucet. Then it can be screwed inside the faucet end or it will screw around the it because the threads are on the outside of the faucet end. I replace these after so long because they get clogged and water doesn't flow as well. This one was simple to change out. You unscrew your original one and clean the faucet and around it; then make sure your rubber washer is in there and screw this one in or around. Look at photo to see how dual thread works.

The removable/replaceable insert allows easy cleaning it from hard water residue.I replaced the faucet aerator in the kitchen with this one. The original one was over 2 gallons per minute. These cut the faucet water usage almost in half and no one in the house has any complaints about the water flow. I was concerned I would hate the low flow and that we would use more water to compensate, but it's really not even noticeable. Danco makes a good product.

It got 4 stars because it does what is intended but I wasn't wowed. I thought that the 'spiral' bit would make it feel like it was more high pressure of a stream. It does not, and even though it is the same flow rating as my current one it felt like it had less pressure to it. I was excited to use it but was ultimately disappointed in it. But if yours is busted and you need a new one without one to compare it to you might really like this one. I just didn't. Also the tape left reside on the side of it, as you can see in my photo.

Nice aerator, but seems a bit weak. My swivel aerator is also rated at 1.5 GPM, but seems to have a bit more power than this new one. Not sure if you are able to see in the pics, how my swivel aerator just has a little more of a stream than the new one. I also like to have the swivel aspect on the aerator, just makes it a little easier.

I ordered this aerator to replace the original. We have hard water and have to replace all faucet heads every few months. I wasn't sure this one would work with dual threads but it did although the 2nd threads are on the outside and visible at the top. It just makes it look like it's not screwed in all the way. I also don't like the spray pattern. It sprays in 5 spread out streams which splatters water every direction. I do not recommend but try one for yourself. Perhaps if we had a different faucet it might be better. That's why I gave it 3 stars.
