Dandies, Vegan Mini Marshmallows, Vanilla, 10 oz

I'm a longtime Vegetarian, and regular marshmallows contain gelatin. So I use these every year in my Cornflake Wreaths. Because of their small size, they melt more quickly than the larger variety. I've had them as a snack and in hot cocoa before, but mostly just use them for the cookies.

I'm not vegan, but I was curious. I'm shocked how similar these taste to non-vegan marshmallows! Very strong vanilla flavor, and a bit chewier than you'd expect. But if you gave them to me blind, I would just think they were normal marshmallows that were a few days old.

Used these for sweet potato casserole, and they were amazing!. The casserole didn't even make it to the end of the party. if you compare them side-by-side to a regular Marshmallow, everyone said they noticed a very slight difference due to the vanilla flavor and texture (vegan ones weren't as airy) but they also added if they did not have a regular marshmallow to compare it to they would not have been able to tell a difference. These are great with hot chocolate as well.

I love this brand of marshmallows. To me, these are nearly indistinguishable from regular marshmallows made with gelatin. I use the mini marshmallows for all the same things I used to use regular ones and have not been disappointed. And the larger sized ones toast just the same way (over a fire, or in an oven) for making s'mores. They are also yummy straight out of the bag.

These are the best marshmallows. I did not specifically buy them for the vegan aspect but they are great. Similar to the ones I love at Trader Joe's. They aren't sticky and gooey like a traditional marshmallow. They are fluffy and airy and perfect for a little sweet treat.

If anyone is looking for a vegetarian option for marshmallows, look no further. This is a great tasting marshmallow that do not contain gelatin/porcine. Great product.

My favorite use for these is to top my cup of hot chocolate (cocoa). They are also good for baking--such as brownies, fudge, and other decadent desserts.

My vegetarian husband hasn't eaten marshmallows for years because of the gelatin content. These are vegan and he says they taste great. They seem expensive to me, but if they comply with his dietary restrictions I guess they're worth it.

I buy these marshmallows because they are VEGAN and i am hosting a vegan family. With they Dandies, I can make the traditional sweet potato dish with marshmallows on top!

Yellow-grayish in color, small grains noticed on marshmallows, expiration date less than a week. Walmart certainly does well with taking a good product and ruining it for people. These never should have been on a shelf, let alone delivered to a customer for safe consumption.
