As it says "Light weight Spackling Putty". Great to use to patch up holes or uneven dips, gaps, etc on walls, corners, and so on. Applying it is exceptionally easy. Great for use on Drywall. You can paint over it once it completely dries. I recommend to wait overnight and layer it for a more even appearance. If a textured surface, use a sponge and dab it. Easy to sand and level.
it works really well , i have tried it a couple of ways. it you simply apply it it leaves a slight bulge and residue. i choes this for the best result and used a detail sander 120 grit to sand off...pretty much a perfect visual after 2 spray coats, i did three. i found that if you apply it and have the bulge and then scrap back upward it leaves a good look , still need a light sanding. but great for not eye level finsh
I have this 'pillar' on my front porch that takes a beating in the 'Mile High City'... It had lots of areas where in the winter, the snow would collect on the edges and over time, it had a lot of dry rotting... This DAP Spackle is amazing and made it look like new again! See my 'before and after' photo's!
I use this for textured art. I can mix a small amount of acrylic in there and then make whatever I want. It's much lighter than joint compound and cheaper than modeling paste. I have used it for wall repairs also, and it worked fine. Sanded easy dried fast .
I patched the hole, went to grab a paintbrush, and by the time I got back, this stuff was already cured %26 judging me for taking so long. 100% recommended.
I was skeptical. I'm generally not good at patching sheet rock holes, but this was on sale, so I thought I'd try it. Couldn't look worse than the regular spackling I've tried in the past. Pleasantly surprised!! This spreads like cake icing. No sanding required. Spread it, smooth it, let it dry, paint it, and no more hole!!! Yay!!
Moving, so gotta fill nail holes in the walls. I've used my fingers to administer to a few holes and a putty knife for the larger ones. It's a nice thickness and goes on easily and neatly. Clean up is a breeze too. The cost is worth what you get and how it works.
I really liked the Dap brand vs the other one I don't remember the brand name but I felt like I got a lot further with this one little container but I still didn't have enough I literally got two walls done which my walls are filled with holes from the previous owner
the item is a described but don't be fooled, this looks like a big container but it's 'Temu sized' aka: very small. be advised: this is 16 oz, about the size of a drinking glass.
The only thing drying is the edges. Its marshmallow texture leaves it drying like a marshmallow too. It’s taking way too long. I did a small patch from furniture move and a bigger one from behind the door with no stopper…… ummmm still not dry and it’s no where close! If you are trying to use this before moving out you gotta do this like a week in advance because it takes forever to dry and needs MULTIPLE coats
