This item is aesthetically pleasing and heavy-duty. It is everything as described and very easy to install. Unfortunately for me, the tile in our bathroom was too small, so the large suction cups were unable to create a vacuum seal - so I have to return the item. If your intended use is in an area with an appropriate location for this bar to properly suction, you won't be let down. 100% recommend.
Have had this item only for one week easy to install, extremely strong suction and support when getting in and out of the shower. Have ordered a second one for the inside shower wall.
These hold extremely well to the walls in my shower surround. They've been attached for about a month and they haven't lost suction yet. You could pull the wall off before they would break suction!
I rarely write reviews and only do when a product exceeds my expectations. My wife who has Rheumatoid Arthritis has real trouble getting in and out of the shower/ tub. I was looking for an alternative to hand rails and decided to go this route. So glad I did. No drilling, no anchors. Just press firm on a flat surface (ours is Acrylic I believe) and press the tabs down. It held immediately. I held on with both hands and put all my 230lb weight on it. The handle didn't budge. My wife had me order another one for more security. The device has a safety feature where the push tabs have a visible stripe that is easily recognized and indicates that you have improper suction. You should check this each time you use it. I've noticed after a coule days the suction loosens up. This item definitely exceeded expectations.
The grab bars are made so well. Strong, sturdy and nice looking! My 93 year old Mom feels so much safer in the shower.

the pictures shows 2 but I only received 1. I assumed it came with two. should have read the small print! these are horribly expensive for just one. I thought that was an expensive price for two! not worth the money at all
This could be very dangerous for an older person that tries to use this as a stability bar that is attached to the wall. And it is not. The suction doesn't hold most of the time even on flat, clean surfaces. And even when it does hold, it can quit at any time. It is recommended for not using full weight on, but it's not good for any purpose. And could be dangerous.
I ordered a 17 inch shower grab bar and received a 15" one.
Did not stick to my tile shower at all.
