Dark Shadows: Collection 1 Barnabas Collins' Debut
If you are a fan of the original Dark Shadows, this set is a Must Have. Episode 212 marks the first appearance of Barnabas Collins, played to "Perfection" by the late Jonathan Frid. Johnny Depp said it best upon learning of Frids recent passing that he played the role of Barnabas with "Elegance and Grace." It's almost uncanny that Frid passed away on Friday the 13th. Kudos must also be given to John Karlen for his role as Willie Loomis. After watching the first 6-episodes it is easy to see why so many of us growing up in the 60's became instantly addicted to the show. It's equally enjoyable that Dark Shadows was broadcast in Black & White which only adds even more flavor to this great Gothic Tale. After 45-years Dark Shadows still reigns Supreme!!!
