These have additional padding in the toe & bottom of the feet areas compared to the lightweight DT ones. Bought the grey/green ones recently: find myself smiling at the design & think will last a long while. 63% wool but dont get overheated so far. Snug on the foot unlike another leading sock brand (: happy camper :)

I didn't believe the hype about Darned Tough socks, but I decided to give them a try because they were on sale and really, how many people could be making this stuff up? They are the most comfortable socks. I love the cushioning. I bought them for hiking. Then, I wore them for walking. Finally, I decided I should just adjust all my outfits at work to accommodate the socks. Boots cover everything and I'm on my feet all day. I have since bought more and even bought my husband a pair to convert him.(The bears socks are the cutest.) They are really that good.

Great designs! Replace if worn out (hasn’t happened yet). Not to bulky for my skinny foot. Men in my family have made the switch from Smart Wools to Darn Toughs too!

I have narrow feet and the toe area on these socks is too big and bunches up. They also seem kind of thin to me, but I've notices they are making hiking socks much thinner these days. They might be great socks, but just not for me. I gave them to a friend who really likes them.
