[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great for many things! I've used it to wash dishes, wash clothes, soak dishes, soak clothes, treat stains, lift grease, spot clean rugs, etc. Dawn and baking soda are my daily cleaning agents!
I cook/clean a lot more these days and primarily use this on my dishes/surfaces. Absolutely amazed at how well it works. DEFINITELY cuts through grease. I often let dishes (heavily soiled, stuck w/grime) sit for a few minutes, hours, or overnight. It wipes off easily and ENTIRELY (even aluminum pans w/crusty grease burns). You can VISIBLY SEE rings that form and trap in bacteria, grime, etc.). NEVER seen this before! It reassures me that the antibacterial component is at work! Great product!
it's dish soap. some varieties are anti-bacterial as well, so they can work well as a sanitizing hand soap in addition to other purposes. as for the "active ingredient/purpose" confusion, those are not separate assertions regarding the product. the active ingredient is chloroxylenol. the purpose of chloroxylenol is as antibacterial hand soap..but it also handles dish bacteria. it's one product with antibacterial wins for both hands AND dishes. :)
Who ever designed this label should go back to school and learn some labeling basics. The copy on the label is so small (looks like 8pt) and in reverse type on a light green background HELLO.. You really don't know what the product is to be used for. If you read the back of the bottle the directions are for hand washing not a word about dishwashing.
You have climbed on the pandemic bandwagon and you obviously changed the formula. It does not cut grease like it use to. If I want hand washing liquid I will buy soft soap to use. Guess soap is soap and it'll wash dishes too! also on this review it says"did you receive a free product-and it asks you to click yes. WHY? I clicked NO!
You told some other customers that it says hand dishwashing liquid right under the brand logo. Well, no it doesn't. Under the logo it says antibacterial hand soap. The only place it says dishwashing liquid is at the bottom where it reads; Orange scent vs Dawn non-concentrated dishwashing liquid. (Photo 1) NOWHERE on the bottle does it say anything about cutting grease on dishes. Even on the back label (Photo 2), it only has directions on how to use for hand washing. And above that it says "Purpose" antibacterial hand soap. See attached photos.
what I ordered, I thought was two 40 oz bottles of Dawn orange scent. What I got was 3 filthy, 19.4 oz Dawn in a giant plastic bag that was leaking and all the labels were torn and the bottles dented. It is a horrible mess. Not only is this NOT what I ordered it's disgusting and I don't want to keep it at all. If I wanted 19.4 oz bottles I could have gone to any store to get them. I choose to buy the larger sizes so I can refill the easier to handle bottles but this is disgusting. If you can't provide what you advertise then you should not be listing the product. I'm appalled that this crap showed up
If you were ordering based on viewing the attached screen shot, what would you think you were ordering. We thought we were buying a 40 ounce bottle of dishwashing liquid. WRONG! We were apparently ordering a case of eight 38 ounce bottles of dishwashing liquid, at a delivered cost of over $72. I have gone back and looked at this item and if it states that somewhere, I sure can't find it. You would think they would make that very clear. Like maybe have more than one bottle in the photo. Very misleading. So buyer beware.
I've been using orange Dawn dish soap for years and loved it. The scent was delightful and would leave the kitchen smelling fresh. Lately I noticed the acwnt wasn't the same at all. More chemical and hardly any citrus. Please bring back the old formula!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so disappointed to learn that your dish soaps contain peanut oil, and that it is not clearly on the label anywhere. Having a child who is allergic to all nuts, it is very important for us to know if there is a nut oil in a product or not.
