This is a great tool you didn't know you needed. I recently wanted to install an extra power socket in a wet wall, so I needed to know where the conduit would be and the clearance to other wiring (including ethernet cables). The endoscope allows me to see exactly where and how things fit into the new box. This one is easy to use and the pictures are clear. If you're a DIY enthusiast or just doing random projects around the house, this is a worthwhile investment. Pros: Effective, simple, versatile, and affordable. Cons: None so far.

The scope seems to work well and comes with a few accessories. Accessories include mirrors, hooks and magnets. These attachments make retrieval or inspection very easy and do not obstruct the camera's view when attached. The scope also comes with 3 spare retaining clips and a user manual. This scope is amazing and I can't believe it only cost $30. I was going to buy one for more than twice the price because I didn't think it would do much good, but that took a few days to arrive and this one was available the next day. Lucky for me. I use it to diagnose leaks under my bathtub. I fished through the overflow and got clear, well-lit color video from underneath the tub (see attached photo). I found that the leak was coming from the drain pipe and confirmed that the compression fitting was not leaking. This is by far the most valuable tool I have discovered. I highly recommend this camera.

I ordered the WINWEND Borescope Camera with Light to use at home and at my mountain cabin to help fix things like wiring, plumbing, and even car problems in my home and cabin. After charging the endoscope camera, I tested the endoscope by inspecting the chassis of the 3D printer to check the eccentric nut and other components. The illuminated camera does provide a clear color picture on the 4.3-inch color screen, but you'll need to pay attention to the orientation as it will often appear upside down. The camera with built-in light attaches to the end of a 16.5-foot semi-rigid cable that can be bent and adjusted so you can thread it into tight spaces for inspections or installations, etc. The camera also comes with some small accessories, such as small mirrors, grabbers, etc. Overall, the endoscope performed well and the images were clear.

This borescope is a great stand-alone system that does not require a phone or other equipment to operate. The instructions are in place and the lighting is very bright. The cable is fairly stiff, but flexible enough to fit through sink drains and traps underneath. My only concern is that the focal length of the lens is very short, so the end of the cable has to be very close to the object to see it clearly. Maybe this is by design.

Purchase for looking into small spaces like cars or wall spaces to find electrical. Works great, except the pipe isn't strong enough to bend in areas where the support isn't tight. The camera is clear and can see small objects even in low light. Great, but limited in how you can use it.

You won't need to use one of these very often, but they will be your lifesaver when you finally have to pick it up. The lead length on this particular model is incredible. This resolution is comparable to current offerings from major tool manufacturers. The only caveat is that the device can't take photos or videos. Even so, I would still choose this over the astronomical prices of the name brands.

Image clarity is good. Not sure if I can verify the HD quality (720p is still considered HD, which I think is probably the level of video quality). The cable is indeed long and removable, but it's difficult to turn or maneuver around corners. We looked at the ventilation ducts and the bends made it difficult to get the camera very far. So stiff cables are both a blessing and a curse. The casing is made of plastic and feels comfortable in the hand. The controls are easy to use and understand. Wish it had a video output or SD card slot for capturing images/videos.

It's really easy with a fairly long stiff rope. It can be difficult to pipe directly down wide channels like HVAC vents, which will cause you to shoot the wall, but it works well on smaller pipes like sink waste lines. Also works great for me to look into open spaces like stairwells where only a small hole is needed to get a full view of the interior; even under my porch where two bricks needed to be repointed. Camera sharpness is decent and would be better with higher resolution and better focus, but it still lets you look around. Even when the LED and screen are at full brightness, it lasts quite a long time when fully charged.
