This digital food thermometer w bottle opener seems well made . Not light weight at all. When you hold it you know you have it and for me that helps me not to drop it. The digital comes alive automatically when you pull the probe to open. There were no directions included. The packaging was sufficient and no damage. I washed the probe and used it on a roast I have in the slow cooker. The numbers are easy to read and it's very fast. I've never had a digital before , I'm a bit old school but I decided to give it a go and glad I did. This is a nice thermometer.

I have a ten year old pocket thermometer like the chefs carry in their pockets like an ink pen. It is accurate but a small display with no backlight. I like all the features of this 'Daybetter' model except it is a bit bulky to carry in a pocket, its case is about 7/8th inch thick. It switches on by simply unfolding the probe to extend it. It uses the common large CR2032 coin cell that is reasonably priced and long lasting. Has a backlight button and it can be calibrated if needed so keep the little (actually tiny) instruction sheet. The size of the display is larger than most, so old eyes can see it clearly without bifocals. TESTING - I have a hot water dispenser, the older thermometer and this, they all read digitally 160 degrees when immersed in the hot water dispenser's tank, within half a degree of each other. When I'm checking something in the oven this longer thermometer with instant on and a backlight is going to be the most convenient and safest to use. Unless you need a waterproof thermometer, I highly recommend this one.

I had a brisket in the smoker and this thermometer arrived just in time. It worked perfectly and my brisket turned out great.

This is a nice item. I tested to see how it worked compared to my other and it kept a good temperature. I love that you close it up, and it turns off automatically and has a little light that you can turn on, which is another plus. Overall, this is a really good item.

Great tool for cracking open cold brews and measuring the temperature on various cooked meats. However, while performing a side-by-side comparison with another instant digital food thermometer of the same brand, the readings are different.

The instructions that were included are for a different model I think. Anyway, I tested it out for Thanksgiving and it worked great! I do recommend.

I don't know if it's broken or if the battery is dead. I took out the screw, to take the plastic off, that was between the battery and the unit. I put the battery back in, double checked that the side is up, snapped the cover back in place and gently tightened the screw until it doesn't turn anymore, with normal pressure. The unit doesn't power on. I tried a few times and even pushed a few buttons. Nothing. There's zero literature in the packaging. I came back to the item description to see what else I might be able to do. It's not working.
