Bright Lights, Big Beeps ⏰

ArrSea February 25, 2026

The DAYBETTER Loud Alarm Clock arrived in a box inside a large envelope. Nothing fancy, but it was adequately protected.🟣The product description highlights a memory function in case of power loss. The User Manual states: “Notice: The CR2032 batteries only save the time of day and the programmed wake time. All functions are only possible with mains power operation.” However, I could not find a battery compartment anywhere on the clock. There are no doors, screws, or visible panels indicating where a backup battery would go. I tested this by unplugging the clock for four minutes. When I plugged it back in, the correct time was still displayed, so it appears there is some type of backup battery, but locating it is a mystery.🟣There are a few language issues in the manual. You must set the year, month, and day in addition to the time. There is a button labeled “Weekend,” but the manual refers to “Workday Alarm.” The website more clearly explains the alarm modes as weekdays (Mon–Fri) or daily (7 days). There is no weekend-only alarm option. When set to weekdays, a “5 Day” indicator light appears. If there is no indicator light, the alarm is set for 7 days. You can set one or both alarms using these options.🟣I appreciate that it offers both 12-hour and 24-hour time formats.🟣The description's claim of “smart voice control” feels a bit exaggerated. When voice mode is activated, the display turns off and only lights up when it detects about 60 decibels of sound. I found myself having to raise my voice to trigger it. It was much easier to tap the clock with my nail to wake the display, which stays on for a few seconds before turning off again.🟣There are two brightness adjustment controls labeled “screen” and “night light.” The “screen” controls the clock face brightness, while the “night light” adjusts the illuminated border around the clock.🟣It has a minimum powered USB-A port you can plug something into the clock but be aware it's not for fast charging. I used it to charge my white noise machine.🟣At first, the alarm did not seem very loud. The beeps started slowly and softly, and I doubted they would wake me. However, they gradually became faster and louder. Now I understand why it is called a loud alarm clock.🟣Now that the technical details are covered, I love the color options! 😍 I had a lot of fun experimenting with the different combinations.🟣WRAP-UP: This is a simple dual-alarm clock with weekday or daily settings. You can choose from multiple color options or turn the lights off entirely. It is a good choice for anyone who enjoys colorful lighting or prefers a darker room but still wants the option to check the time by tapping or speaking near the clock. 🟣Thank you for reading my review! 😊

Bright fun colors not overly complicated to use. Even has voice commands. My only complaint is it doesn't come with an actual power cord, so you'll need a brick for the USB cord.

Complicated for an alarm clock!

Jeanne May 6, 2026

The instructions for this clock are very confusing. Unless you're “tech savvy, which I'm not, figuring it out is challenging. The power cord is not a “regular” wall plug. It would not plug into my laptop or my phone, or my block, etc. It finally did fit into the port on my side table. It says there is battery backup, but there is no place for batteries. Once I plugged it in, the lights are pretty, but that's as far as I got. It's flashing the year? I finally got the time set, but that's it. The instructions were too frustrating to go any further. I'll just get a simple plug-in-the-wall alarm clock.

Time

Well nothing like what was on the website. It feels really light and is small like the size of a can of coke. I've had it plugged in for 20 minutes and hasn't lit up or worked.
