These little temperature and humidity sensors require both a Bluetooth connection to your phone and a Wi-Fi connection, at least to set up. Once properly configured, and the Daybetter app is installed, it is possible to monitor these from 1000 miles away. I'm doing that right now. The Wi-Fi connectivity is not very good, so you need to be relatively close to both your Wi-Fi router and your phone to set each one up. It only allows for 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi. You can't use 5Ghz. You can tell it to sample every five minutes, 30 minutes, one hour, or every six hours, and more frequent sample will use more battery power. It seems fairly accurate, but the app has a setting where you can calibrate both the temperature and the humidity sensor. All in all, I think these are remarkable little devices. I've only had them for a week, but they seem to be working as intended, and for me the temperature and humidity both seem to be quite accurate compared to other sensors I have in my house.

Tried a ThermoPro WiFi unit but it would not connect so bought this and zero issues, one %26 done. Got this one for half the price of ThermoPro and like the app readout. Using in the attic to monitor temp %26 humidity.

Nice little device to go along with your phone. I like to track humidity and temp, and this allows me to track 2 locations. I am not an extreme tech person, but had no trouble following the directions and setting this up.

Really nice little temperature and humidity monitor! I originally bought it to track my attic temperature, but the manual says not to use it above 140°F, so I'm not sure it'll work for that. I've been using it in my garage instead, and it's been great for monitoring conditions while woodworking. The DAYBETTER app is easy to set up and use, and I like being able to check the temperature and humidity remotely and view the historical data. The hanging strap makes it easy to move around, and it can also connect to Alexa or Google Home, although I haven't set that up yet. Overall, it's simple, convenient, and does exactly what I need.

it does what it's supposed to do but it does not interface with any other smart technology that I have found. therefore, only the app that comes with the device will allow you to monitor the humidity and the temperature of the environment around the device. you can't turn it off or on remotely ane you can't set an event. also, I have my settings so that it updates every 5 minutes which is eating up my battery life so I've only had it running for about 2 months and I've already got to replace the batteries.

for such a simple device, it sure uses a lot of battery power. 3 Triple A batteries and after 2 days I'm down 5%. The core functions shouldn't need this much power, but I suspect there is a lot of background data being collected for Amazon.

The temperatures that this device provides within the app that is required for the functioning of the device gives temperature readings 10-15 degrees away from the actual outside surroundings temperature of the environment As u can see within the attached images to this review

The temperature is not accurate. It said it was 80 degrees in my house when my thermostat and alexa dot both said 73

This is false advertisement as it is wireless but you have to be right next to the item to get a reading. You cant be out and check the temp which was what we were expecting and wanting.

Delivered quickly and worked per instructions. I wanted a thermometer for my greenhouse that I could read while away to monitor the temperature. But you have to be at the device to push the button to get a reading. It's no better than a standard thermometer.
