Thank you! This is the correct alternator for the early H6 engine. They are hard to find - parts stores will sell you the incorrect H4 alternator - and extremely expensive from Subaru. The new alt you sent is working correctly and seems high quality at a good price.
After several different stores, this is the first one that worked great right away! Flawless product 10/10
very good
Excellent so far. Fitted without problems; delivering 14v at idle with lights and A/C on. This follows bad experiences with rebuilt alternators from a well known chain of auto parts suppliers. The first one, rebuilt by Denso, lasted 6 months before an intermittent charge warning light warned of problems. Returned for a full refund of purchase price that was more than twice DB price. Only alternative was a cheaper rebuild for DB price + $60. On installation it was evident that the pulley was the wrong size. The belt ran up on the outer lip; the pulley was 1/16" narrower than the OE pulley. I had to run the car like this to get to work while waiting for the DB replacement to arrive and the chance to install it, while the two narrow pulley slowly chewed away at the front edge of the belt!
My headlights were flickering like a pair of disco balls. Upon resistance testing, my voltage was between 11 volts and as high as 12.8. I got a duralast alternator and then my voltage was at 14.9 to 17!!!! It’s supposed to be 13.3 to 14.7. I researched this one and folks said it was the real cheese. They were not kidding. DM works perfectly in synch with my stupid Subaru ECU, and just looking at it, it’s obviously a quality piece. I couldn’t be happier! Oh, and it’s not too much more expensive than the duralast.
Quick shipping and the part is working great so far! 2003 Subaru Outback H6 3.0. From online research not "just any" rebuilt alternator will work properly with the ECU. The part from DB Electrical is working as expected!
Works great and at an affordable price! Thank you!
Perfect fit! Overnight shipping as promised. Will highly recommend these guys. Great job, DB!!
As advertised.
This works well in 2002 LL Bean Outback. My first one lasted 18 months, so I'm buying another since they are about 1/7th the cost of the genuine Subaru alternator.
