Perfect match
Everything works great! I've replaced starter myself and it works with no problem for that price you can't find anything better. Highly recommend
Works as described, has a small spin after car starts & left off the key. But strong & seems great for now. The small whine after key release could be an issue down the road but will see & if it changes & goes bad I will warranty & update review based on that.
Worked like a charm, my original starter kept killing the battery because it pulled all the power down just to get it to turnover. This one barely pulls any voltage down!! Day and Night difference. For this car it was necessary to remove part of the intake manifold since it would be nearly impossible to take out without any experience. This is why I rated the ease to install 3 stars. They should recommend or include the intake gaskets for this job on an Acura TSX
I put this starter on my 06 Accord fits and works like OEM... Just remember if doing it yourself you're going to need an upper exhaust manifold gasket and the air intake gasket being that they both have to come off to get to Starter on an 06 Honda Accord... Great Value!!!
These starter Are great, It fit On 2007 Honda si Coupe, it can fit sedan too. It start awesome. Thanks to the site, $90 well spent. Worth it boys. It’s easier to take off the Radiator bracket instead take off manifold. It take some time. Took me an hour to take it off and install new one on. Worth a time
so far so good. it was reasonably priced. and although it was hard to install on an accord it did work out well. one problem was that one of the studs didn't tighten all the way. putting 3 washers on the top bolt where it contacts the engine worked . it was because the starter wasn't exactly the same as the original so I had to add the washers to it so that it would make contact and tighten to the engine but any mechanic would have figured that out. time will tell if it lasts a year or two or more. works well and no different in sound to the original.
I took a gamble and went with this substantially cheaper unit (than the auto stores). This went into an '08 Element and she fired up instantly...this compared to the old unit which had been dying for almost a year. Prefect match on the part as I compared prior to install.I have purchased starters in the past from the chain auto stores and had the same issues with them (breaking a few months down the road) as has been reported in reviews with this unit. IMO, this is an issue with all aftermarket parts regardless of source ,and I am willing to take the risk for the amount of $$$ saved. Now to see if it will continue to work moving forward. I will update if there are issues, and in 1 year if none.
Purchased this starter in December of 2016 and installed it over a long weekend in January 2017. It worked great for a year and then started cranking weaker. I assumed it was anything but the starter and replaced wiring, batteries, connectors, grounds, etc...Nothing helped, it is now June of 2019 and I am sitting in a parking lot waiting on a tow truck to pick me up. Starter is officially deadThis is a real pain to replace. If I could do it again, which apparently I am, I would spend the extra money and get a solid name brand with a longer warranty!I’m now in hour 2 of waiting for a tow in 110 degree Louisiana heat :(
Although the item does work great once installed. It is only a temporary fix. If you are not replacing it yourself I would look to buy the OEM part and save money.I purchased this item in Sep 18. I started having issues in Mar 20. Seems I am one of the lucky ones to get over a year out of this item but I am now looking for a new one.I do all my work on my car so I’m not loosing out on labor cost but for the ones who will be paying pay or cost I urge you to look somewhere else and get a Denso or TYC product.
