Dc Direct - Super Powers Vehicles - Wv1 - Batwing

Ordered for my son's birthday. He was so excited but once we opened it and pushed the button, it broke. We returned it and got a replacement and the exact same part broke again right after opening it. Instead of him enjoying his gift I have to deal with having to return it for the second time. I Do not recommend this product unless you plan on not taking it out of the box

Don't get me wrong, I love the Super Powers and I love that Mcfarlane is bringing them back. Unfortunately, for the Batwing, the last 3 purchased have all had the canopy broken. The spring that pops up the canopy is either to strong or is just placed wrong. This seems to be an issue across the board with the Batwing. Very upsetting, Mcfarlane needs to fix this.

Same breakage of the canopy hinge right out of the box others are reporting. After reading about this issue, instead of letting my son do it, I opened the canopy for him, keeping one finger lightly on the canopy so the spring action didn't slam it open. It still broke. And now that they've jacked up the price $10, it's even more of an overpriced piece of junk. DC, you need to drop McFarlane "Toys". They don't make toys, they make junk, and they need to go back to producing lame mini-statues for nerds and leave the toy making to the real toy companies like Mattel or Hasbro.

I was pleased when I saw this new Batwing from McFarlane however when I opened it for the first time, the plastic hinge from the canopy cracked. I was very careful because I was aware of this issue. There is a spring that opens the canopy when the button is pressed. It appears it's too strong and causes the hinge to crack. I plan on keeping it since I'm a collector. I wouldn't recommend this for children since it breaks so easily. I'm hoping McFarlane will fix this defect in future releases.

This vehicle is good for those that are fans of Superpowers or just Batman in general who wants a great toy. Keep in mind that the QC on this particular Batwing isn't great across the board as the canopy tends to break just by pressing the release switch (bat emblem) on the front of the plane. Do be careful when opening the canopy and recommended to brace the release with your hand, in other words don't just simply press the button and let the spring fling the canopy all the way, that more than likely will break the hinge. Also another knock on this piece is the price point being a little higher than I would have liked but it still is relatively affordable with all the price hikes going on lately. Still a great peace to hit those nostalgic feels. Just be careful with the canopy

Walmart cancelled my first order without letting me know and jacked up the price from $19 to $29. I repurchased at higher price because there is no Walmart near where I am. Item arrived and product box was badly mangled. Item was packed in a bigger box and outer box was not damaged so they just sent me damaged box item. See picture.

Immediately broke out of the box. The cover of the cockpit snapped at the hinge the very first time I used it. It needs to be recalled and the issue needs to be fixed.

While I have heard that others have had a problem with the canopy breaking, mine has not. This is a great little Batwing that merges the aesthetics of the Super Powers line from the early 80s with the 1989 Keaton Batwing. I love it.

This item has several design flaws that result in a broken cockpit after first use. The spring mechanism isn't seated correctly and the transparent plastic of the cockpit isn't strong enough to withstand the force of it springing open. Come on todd

The toy has a known defect (as expressed in product reviews on this site, and elsewhere). Tried my luck and no dice: saw the same fate upon opening the box. Bummed, since it's a great looking collector's item.
