DC Super Hero Girls Supergirl Intergalactic Gala Doll

My granddaughter loved it

My 6.5 year old daughter really enjoys this Supergirl doll. She is not a girly girl and is not a doll type of girl, however, she does enjoy the Supergirl doll. I think it is because it is not just a doll, but a superhero! Plus, it is a female superhero that is her age group, so it is something she relates to. She has since asked me for Starfire and Wonder Woman dolls to complete her collection. The doll is bendable, has boots and a cape, and a necklace. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was lucky enough to get a free Super Hero doll through DC Super Hero Doll Company. My daughter was so excited to open her box and try her new toy. She was very tired of her brother getting new super hero toys and now she finally has a super hero that can protect her. She was very excited and she started dressing and undressing the doll. Nice quality. This doll will last a long time with rough play. The clothes are well made and nice colors. The doll is jointed, which is nice for play. My daughter is autistic and can be rough and this doll will take it. We have only had her about a week and she is already one of our favorite toys. I got this one for my girls as they are big into superheroes, and they loved her! She is different from other barbie type dolls because she is a little more muscular. I like the body type better. She also has additional mobility in her torso which was pretty cool. The outfit is adorable and the doll seems to be well made! I look forward to getting the other dolls in the series! I like how SuperGirl and her red cape pops out at you in the box. The feel, appearance and overall quality of the packaging is nice and eye catching. The doll has reasonable proportions and has a athletic build. A tiny bit more muscular than a Barbie doll which is nice to see for a super hero. The colorway of the clothes and accessories are vibrant. Niece was so happy when we gave her the doll. She stared at the doll through the packaging for a little bit. Then asked us to help take SuperGirl out with excitement. She wasted no time putting all her joints to work. Seeing what type of poses she could do. Playing with her hair and clothes. She's had the doll for a few weeks now and does rescues on a daily basis. Doll is holding up great. Every girl's super hero dream come true. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We're big superhero fans in our house, so this doll was really a hit! My child was so excited when we first opened the box! This is a quality doll, I was impressed that all of her joints move. I also really loved that the boots are easy to take off, but they don't just fall off on their own. My daughter got this toy and put her to work right away with her Barbies in their world. She liked that the doll was not too much larger than her Barbie dolls (maybe half an inch taller or so), and she was very happy that she could easily take the clothes off of Supergirl so that other dolls could try on her superhero outfit and Supergirl could wear other outfits. We found that Supergirl's dress fits fairly well on other Barbies, although the Velcro at the back does not close completely, it's covered by her long red cape. The dolls then went trick-or-treating while dressed as superheroes, which was fun. It is slightly strange that Supergirl's hair seems to be somehow glued in a permanent side bangs, but I think this will actually keep her hair looking fairly good for a longer time than most similar dolls. The way her body is built seems pretty muscular, and her waist is extremely narrow. The joints of the arms and legs are great! They bend much better than our current crop of Barbie dolls, and Supergirl can sit nicely in a Barbie-sized chair due to her legs. Supergirl's head and feet seem a bit large, in proportion to the rest of her body. We really liked how her wrists rotate and her elbows can bend. The doll came with several strands of hair that were much longer than all her other hair, but a quick clip with the scissors fixed that. (We had a discussion about NOT cutting doll hair without Mommy involved.) It would be nice to see other outfits that would fit these sizes of dolls. Some Barbie outfits, the tube-type dresses, fit adequately with a few issues fastening in the back. But others would not fit at all. I guess this is not a doll really designed to dress up in various outfits but to keep her in her current outfit. However, my daughter really has fun changing clothes. Thankfully this doll does allow you to do that, so there's room for imagination and pretend play - a big plus and very important to me when choosing a toy for my daughter! As a mom of two boys, I was excited to add a typical 'girl' toy to our collection. My son was happy to have Supergirl join the other Heros.
